Even with the improved caps on these CE4s, after a day or so I get pooling of liquid into the battery and slurping sounds. I always check to see that both the coil piece and the cap are on tight. Does anyone have any tips on how to prevent this or specifically what parts aren't lining up to cause the leaks? I'm sensing that maybe the leaking might have to do with how much I fill them.

This is the cartomizer I'm speaking of: eGo 2.4ml CC CE4 Clearomizer
and that page has decent pictures of all the parts.

When the CE4 works, I love them, especially on my ego vv battery, but I'm getting frustrated and wasting juice when I have to blow out the liquid from the carto to clean it out.

Every clearomizer I have used pools a little juice on the center post of the battery. I still love them and use them almost exclusively. I just wipe the center post often.

I have a vivi nova and it does not "pool" any liquid, nor does it leak. Too large for my tastes tho, maybe I need to try a mini Vivi Nova.

I first bought a Stardust CE4 which worked somewhat ok at first but just completely got too tight of a draw very quickly. Quickly equals before even finishing my first tank. I set it aside and bought a Mini Vivi Nova. Love this little guy on my ego-twist. Works great. No pooling on the battery post and a great draw every time! I am sold on the Mini. Will be purchasing more to swap flavors midstream.

So I decided to dissect the Stardust and basically gave it up for dead. Found that the tight draw must be a design flaw. (Like I am an expert with mechanical designs :). Not) But given the fact that I tweaked the middle post by pulling it out closer to the battery contact, I still had a tight draw. If I raised the wick and coil up higher the airflow was great but then I had to put back on the tip with the silicone cap on the middle post. Then the problem was apparent to me, the cap is pushed too far down on the post restricting the airflow over the coils. So, I am down the cost of one Stardust but am happy, very happy with the Mini Vivi Nova.

I live, learn and about to be three months free of analogs in 5 days! Whoo Hoo!

I have had better luck with the long wick style. Near as I can tell the cup in the short wick eventually sops into the battery tube. The long wick type doesn't have a cup. It is the only difference I can determine. I use these CC Clearomizers exclusively and vape all day. I have also noticed that if for some reason the center post is a little off center they can leak as well. I was trying to push a drip bottle close to the post while filling. I discovered I was slightly bending the center post. Have moved my juice into needle bottles.
Make sure when unscrewing the mouthpiece you retighten the atomizer as it will loosen. You can also try pushing the silicone cup down a little from the wick so it doesn't constantly feed juice into the hole. :2cool:

If you have any other questions feel free to message me. I am over 1 year analog free!
