Leaking Cartos

I'm a newbie and and have a question
I started using a tank almost outta' the gate (and love it waay too much) and have had a couple/few cartos leak onto my batt terminal (I guess that's what it is,,, the part that fires the atomizer) and know this isn't good
Is it the cheap Asian cartos (SmokeTech)? or is this a common problem?
I'm thinking about trying Boge or something if this continues, but the DCT's have that little cut-out for the flange (that I like because it keeps the tank from spinning, etc)
Also, carto length is a consideration
Should I bite the bullet and buy a decent tank, get a hole-punch/dremel and deal with ovalized. etc cartos or shop for (better?) DCT cartos (I just ordered the 3 hole from smoktek)?
,,,,, just fishin' for advice from the Gurus
Thanks

I use a tank, and only a tank- all the time.
I have better luck with Boge's, and have only had leaks with Smoketech 1.7 and DCs. (Flooding and leaking through the air hole.) NOT TO SAY Smoketechs are bad cartos; but they are the only ones that have given me problems in a tank.
Can you tell where the leak is coming from- is it leaking through the air hole of the cartomizer? (You would probably also have a girgling sound along with the leak.)
Or is it leaking from where the carto 'seals' against the tank? Maybe remove the washer and be sure it is not torn or damaged. You could reverse the tank so that 'end cap' is on top
