Hello, veterans, I have a question for you that I'm pretty sure someone will know how to answer. I have only been vaping 2 months so I know nothing. Please excuse my ignorance!

I ordered a new F16 Boge tank and along with it, I ordered some Boge cartomizers for the tank and Smoketech cartomizers. I filled the tank with 70pg/30vg 24 mg nic juice. I used one of the Boge cartos. It had one hole punched in it. I could not get the tank to work with this carto because the hole in it was too small and the eliquid wouldn't "wick". I even let the tank set overnight and still it would not wick the eliquid. Okay, so I took the tank apart and put one of the Smoketech cartomizers in which had 2 small holes in it. Now it began to leak out of the bottom where it screws into the battery. I could not get the eliquid to stop coming out and lost the entire tank (5ml) twice trying to get it to work.

Do I need to buy a different tank system? Or do I buy some pure vg eliquid and try this again? I am thinking that the viscosity of the 70pg/30vg may have caused the massive leaking with the Smoketech carto, but the Boge carto with 1 hole would not wick at all even with the thin eliquid.

If anyone knows about this issue or has had this problem, any advise from you would be very appreciated! Thanks in advance!

So, I looked up this F16 Boge tank, and without having one to actually look at, I assume that it's very similar to a SmokTech DCT. Indeed, the pictures look almost identical to the DCTs that sit on my desk.

Once, did I load up the DCT and have an issue with burning/dry hits/ wouldn't wick. As soon as that happened, I started pre-filling the carto's. I fill them with a standard carto filling method, drip in the top along the edges, thermometer shake, repeat until it starts coming out the side holes. Then I'd blow it out into a tissue to make sure that the airway was clear and pop it onto an eGo or something to make sure that it fired. This was all before the tank ever touched the carto, btw. I don't want a tank full of liquid before I find out that I got a dud carto.

Anyhow, that also helps prime the wicking, so that the liquid sort of knows where it's supposed to go from the tank.

I've never had the pouring-out-the-bottom issue. If it was when you first put it on, before your lips touched the drip tip, then you probably got a bad carto, and two bad cartos in a row isn't unheard of. If it was after you'd used it a bit, it could be that you're drawing too hard on it and creating a vacuum inside the carto. That would draw the liquid out, and then there's only 2 exits, the battery vent, or your face. Remember, let the carto give you the vapor, don't try to suck it out.

When my all-day vape was with a DCT, I would pre-fill the cartos, test them and then put them in and fill the tank. I maybe got 3-4 fills before I had to toss the carto. I also used 1.7ohm 1-2 hole single coil cartos.

Your issue is with the cartos, not the liquid. You should be able to use 100% PG in a carto tank without it pouring out the bottom. My mixes are 75/25 PG/VG and I've never had that problem.
