Leaking ego-t ato

Hey all, I messed up my ego-t atomizer. I was getting really hard drags, more like almost nothing so I thought the little shaft that goes into the tank was clogged. I pushed in a little with a needle but couldn't get anything out so I just left it at that tried again and got a normal drag. But now it leaks like mad. After some research I found that the wick is actually in that little shaft so I pushed that down, most likely causing the leaking now.
My question is, is it possible to get it back up? I haven't pulled out the plate that holds the shaft in place since I was afraid of breaking it entirely. Should I do that?

Yes, the needle plate will come out although you need to be careful, as the needle shaft can be broken off if you try using that to pull it out. No worries, sometimes it's hard to sift through all of the info out there. I just happened to see the Wick mod thread one day shortly after someone posted and had it at the top of the list. So glad I did! So far I've replaced wicks on my own and a couple of friends eGo-Ts, and it does work really well.
