I hope this is the correct forum for this.
So I'm having a bit of an issue.
im using an ibtanked carto tank. The 22xl. The problem is my cartomizers keep leaking. I mean leaking bad. I hate that gurgling noise and a mouthful of juice.
Am I doing something wrong or do I have a bunch of bad cartomizers? I am using the provari.
I primed them right I think. I'm beginning to get frustrated.
Thanks

Is it leaking out the connector end? Most common causes are, bad oring maybe you cut it installing the carto.
Pressure between inside of tank and outside not neutralized. Try blowing thru the drip tip down thru the carto to clear it. That might clear it. If the leaking continues, the above may likely be the cause.

Don't know what brand of carto you are using, doesn't really matter, you can get bad cartos a once I a while, especially right around the Chinese New Year time. Could be you just got them overfilled.
Something I forgot to mention before, your pg/vg mix and size of holes and how many holes you have punched can be a factor also.

By your description, it sounds like your cartos are flooding.

This can be caused from improper priming technique, an issue with negative pressure in the tank, bad o-rings, or an improper draw technique.

Cartotanks work best if you use a long, slow, gentle draw. Imagine sucking on a straw in a thick milkshake. Use your cheek muscles to grab a mouthful of vapor. Drawing too hard and short will flood the cartomizer.

The "Thingy" method of priming the carto works. The trick is to know when to stop fiddling with your Thingy. ;) OCD says to keep an eye on filler wick inside the carto. When it is nice and wet like a slushy drink, then its properly primed.

If that method doesn't work for you, I've had great success with this method: Baditude's Cartotank Setup Guide

If you don't use a tank accessory tool, the top sharp edges of a cartomizer can damage the silicone o-rings in the endcaps when you insert the carto. The o-rings are very important to keep negative pressure inside the tank while vaping. If they become damaged, flooding and leaking can occur. IBTanked sells a combo tank tool for $3 - 4 dollars.

Can you describe a proper draw technique please? I received my tanks and carts and using your method to prime I start out find but THey go dry without pulling juice through the holes. I have to close off the air holes and draw until the carto fills again then the process starts all over.

Thanks folks.
When I blow it out a lot of liquid comes out of the end. Then I let it sit for awhile. The first few drags are ok but then the gurgling comes back.

I use the filling tool ibtanked sells.
I probably did something wrong. But I used a pack of the 2 ohm cartos and did everything the same way without any issues. So I thought maybe its the cartomizers.
I dunno. I just ordered 20 cartos from ikenvape. I'll see how they do.
Thanks
