I don't personally have one of the new Smoktech pyrex tanks, so I can't say from experience about the quality fit & finish of the parts and o-rings.

Since you have determined the leaking is not coming from the carto itself (leakage from the carto connector air hole), I suspect a problem with the inner o-rings. These are what make the seal between the caps and cartomizer to prevent leakage. Either they are defective, torn, or the wrong size.

Is this your first experience with a cartotank? If so, care needs to be taken when inserting a cartomizer into a tank. The inner o-rings are vulnerable to being damaged by the sharp top edge of the cartomizer during assembly.

There are tank tools available which not only make assembling and filling a tank easier, but also protect the o-rings from damage by covering the carto's opening during assembly and filling. My suggestion is to get a Slap Yo Moma tank tool from Big Daddy Vapor.

Meanwhile, you will likely need to find a replacement o-ring for your tank. Contact the vendor that you purchased your tank from for an o-ring replacement.

This is weird - I have the opposite problem from this member: My Pyrex DCT *does not* let go of my carto. The carto was laser drilled, so it's not due to deformation of the carto via punching. Mine's been sitting empty for a couple days now as the tank just won't let go. Good thing for backups!

Maybe there's some bad QC with smoktech(wouldn't we all be surprised there).

The 2 tanks I have here have no problems when the right cartos are in them. Using ST Dual coil cartos with the locking flange. They lock in with a snap and pop out perfectly when the drip tip is pushed in at an angle.

I did have a few non-ST cartos that wouldn't work properly, no snap when connected and easily flooded, and a bit of a fit issue coming out.

Where mine is leaking is around where the cartomizer snaps in I guess around the flange. Any ideas on that ? Thanks for your help :)

I still think you have inadvertantly torn your inner o-ring(s) when you inserted your cartomizers during assembly/filling, just as the PBusardo video shows above. That is where you would expect juice to leak with torn, worn, or poor fitting o-rings.

The issue should not be about what brand cartomizer is used. If only a specific cartomizer can be used, it should be common knowledge by now (these tanks have been on the market and in use long enough at this point) and the vendors/manufacturer would have stated what specific cartos are recommended. Intentionally making a tank with low tolerances to multiple brand cartomizers is product suicide.

I do not think it is the carto. I checked the O-rings and they are ok. I think I figured it out. The ends of the tank do not go all the way down into the glass part of the tank . They are glued on a O-Ring that is glued on top of the glass tank and one of the ends was loose and the O-ring sitting on top of the glass was not secure. I think this will cause issues with these if the glue gives and the ends are do not actually go into the tank itself. Is this kind of a cheap construction of the device ? Or is it me ? Is there a type of glue I can use to secure the o-ring and the end and not have to worry about it being toxic ? Thanks for all of your help Bad ...

Most carto tanks use o-rings (not glue) to secure the end caps. Most carto tanks don't use glue for anything. Everything is pressure fit. I don't like the design of this tanks because of this. When the glue gives out then the tank is pretty much trash. If an o-ring gives out you just replace it.
