Leaking Lemo!!

Hi folks. I posted my first thread a couple of weeks ago and got some really helpful feedback. I'm getting on much better with my Lemo Drop now (my first rba).

I'm still having leaking issues though and wondered if anyone had any more ideas. I've worked out that it is leaking from the air intakes where the little nut is for adjusting air flow. Pretty much every time I reach for a vape, I've got to take off the base plate and clean out the leaked juice to get a decent connection to the battery terminal, which is just a pain in the...

I've changed all the seals, keep it upright and don't leave it in my pocket for too long. I use a 70/30 pg/vg mix. The coil is about 1.5mm above the air hole on the deck. It's a 1.8 ohm coil wicked fairly loosely with Japanese cotton.

Any ideas?

I am so sorry you are having problems. I don't have one so I can't help you but I had this in my bookmarks because it helped someone else. Who knows, maybe it will help you also. Good luck to you.

from experience with my lemo, you need to mess with your wicking to get it just right, what i found works best is to trim the cotton so each end touches the deck and then you want to split the wick in half in a v shape around the juice channel so that its unobstructed. with this tank you can't lay it on its side or else it will leak, slight inconvenience but its whatever.

Also i found higher vg liquids help reduce the leaking. Ive been running max vg without issue

That's great, thanks I'll give that a try. The leaking is worse when it's been on it's side, but it will leak badly after being on its side for just a few seconds. I might be being stupid, but with all the reviews saying it's leak-proof, I thought it might be, well, leak-proof. It's just so annoying that I have to clean the terminal on the thing every time I want to vape! Rant over. Thanks for your help.

Thanks mate. I'm rebuilding tonight, so will give that a try. This weird world of vaping that has sucked me in - some say minimal wick, some say lots. I guess it all comes down to trial and error and personal preference but this forum has been a great help so far!

Please read the thread that Rat linked above--you'll find all the information about Lemo there. And very helpful crowd.
