Good evening, all! Well, I've finally gotten all my new goodies and I think I'm set for a WHILE! MVP 2, eLeaf Lemo, Magma clone, and I decided to splurge on a Hana Modz Mini in pink - oh it's so adorable!! (girl moment - sorry, boys) I'm loving it all!!! And of course I have my Nauti minis for all-day vaping at work, where huge clouds are just not acceptable in a place where I have to stealth vape
I will for sure be saving up to buy another Hana Mini - it's just awesome! I've got the same 1.5 ohm coil with 28 gauge kanthal in both the Lemo and Magma and I'm getting some tasty flavor and awesome vapor on both - started out at the max 11 watts on my MVP and am rather enjoying 12-14 on my Hana. (haven't been brave enough to go higher - working up to it!!!)
But......no matter what I do, I CANNOT keep this darn Lemo from leaking!!!! I love it - it vapes great! But if I'm not careful and it ends up on it's side, I easily lose at least a mil of juice out of the air hole. I don't have any experience with an actual Kayfun or Kayfun clone - this is my first RTA. But, as I understand it, they work on the same principle. I seal it up tight and bottom fill, I've re-wicked it several times - the ends of my wick just touch the deck near the juice channels - should they be covering the top of the channels?? (using japanese cotton strips cut from the little pads).
I have no obvious air leaks when I cover the air holes and pull - it's nice and tight. My first two tries, I was actually getting dry, burnt hits - I figured out that I was stuffing too much wick in the coil - I fixed that problem and now it tastes great and is super consistent. But, oh, the leaking! It's driving me nuts!!!! In my searches, I haven't found much on the Lemo other than a review here and there - I've read through the thread on here, but not any real info on leaking. I've been trying to troubleshoot with Kayfun tips and tricks, including wicking techniques. (and I thought building the coils was going to be the challenge - wicking is so much trickier!!!). I know I'm missing something - I've only been building on it for a little over a week. I assume the issue is that when it's on it's side, juice just runs up the channels and floods the chamber and drips right out of the air hole - so what am I doing wrong? Or I guess the better question is, how do I prevent this on a device like the Lemo?
Thanks for reading and for any advice!!!
