Not leaking from inside out. When I fill the tank, the juice seems to go below the 0 ml mark between the glass and metal. This is above the metal section with the air holes. Halo told me that this isn't normal, but this is my 3rd tank with this issue. Anyone else ever notice this? Does it matter?

Yep! My idea is the glue that the manufacturer used to connect the two pieces didn't fill the whole space. Most of my tanks have that, you can see it more with a darker juice. I don't think it's anything to worry about, but lately I've been doing water tests before I fill it up. My "water test" is when I get a new tank I'll take the coil out and fill to the center post with water. Then I'll let it sit for awhile then check to see if any leaked out. The two leaks I had were because the glue didn't fill that whole space and left a void for juice to seep out.

Not to sure if Halo knows about this issue, but they might want to have a word or two with the place/people who make their tanks. It sucks when you buy a new tank and it leaks.

The only reason I ask is because if that juice can get in there..and sit..and rot..isn't it possible that near the end of the tank life that even miniscule amounts can mix with the fresh stuff I just poured in? It's just in the back of my mind all the time. Because I see it. Halo has some great stuff, this is my only concern.
Never really thought about that. You can try to rinse it out with hot water or, if you can find a small enough syringe try to force it out with water.

I would do the leak test with vodka or PGA. It's thinner and less surface tension. A tank might show a leak with vodka, but not with water.
I don't think if some juice weeps into the joint that it will rot! And what leaks in can be cleaned out, with vodka or PGA.
Out of 7 tanks, only 2 have iffy joints, but just a bit of discoloring.
If Halo is going to replace, ask for a different color. That way, it'd most likely be from a different batch.
