I know this has been asked at least a hundred times - but has anyone come up with a mod for a penstyle cart that doesn't leak? I have tried just about every mod in this forum and haven't found one that works. Most will work for a few hours or a day at most. But if I put it in my purse and forget about it for a while I have a soggy e-cig.

Cartomizers are great - no leaking problems whatsoever. I've been using a Vapor King. But I miss my RN4072 - a lot. I like the look and the feel of it. If I could just keep the juice in the thing, that would be the only e-cig I would ever use.

I'm not familiar with your penstyle but I can tell you what I do with my 801 penstyle that works and doesn't leak. I use Highping's Simple Cart Mod but I cut a straw and stick it down in it first. For some reason it just doesn't work well for me unless I use the straw. I cut it to a little more than 3/4 of the length of the cart and form the plug on top of the straw. My 801 is a low bridge atty if that helps (maybe all penstyles are low bridge). You have to get the density of the plug just right for the viscosity of your juice, so you'll have to play with it some to get it to wick good without leakage. HTH

I read LyndaGayle's solution and have been using it for a couple of weeks now and it works great. At the time I didn't have any un-messed with cart filler from all the other attempts I'd tried, so I pulled the filler out of a 510 cart, cut it in half and tried that. Worked perfectly the first time. I think I used that cart untouched for almost a week.

I have had intermittent problems with my atty leaking like a sieve one time and working perfectly another. It took me a while, but I finally figured it out. I use Fluval, but the same rules apply to other stuffing's as well. If you use to little stuffing it won't hold the liquid and you'll get leaking problems. If you use too much the you'll not be able to get much juice out of your cart and all your juice will be stuck in the cart. It takes some time and practice, but in time you'll learn just how much filler to use when rebuilding your cart.

I tried the poly fill bags, but couldn't ever get a consistent amount for the fill. I haven't used the tea bags, but I'd imagine that consistency would be pretty easy. Personally I've had very good luck with the Fluval once I understood my mistakes.

I did a how-to video a while back on fluval stuffing. Just search either here or on YouTube for "Fluval stuffing 101" and you should be able to find it.

I use the following mod: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cartridge-mods/46294-must-try-adm-auto-drip-mod.html

However for a penstyle.... I use the above mod with with a straw. So basically the straw and the spring make a T inside the cartridge. The straw really stabilizes the spring so it wont move around when refilling. I use regular polyfill for the plug. This is a very simple mod that is very effective for me....been doing it for over six months now. The only variables are the amount of polyfill to use and the length of the straw. Too much pollyfill and it will dry out too fast and too little it will leak. Also if the straw is too long.... too much liquid will reach the atty... if it is too short the atty wont get enough liquid.
