Hi all,

After trying literally dozens of e-liquids, I've found that the only one that does not give me harsh throat hit is the original HMBL (which is strange since it has a 65/35 mixture.) Unfortunately, HMBL confirmed that they have discontinued this line and the strawberry sour belts (which I've vaped exclusively over the past year) is nearly impossible to find.

I've even tried going to a 100% VG blend and it's still on the harsh side for me.

Does anyone have any recommendations for juices I can try that doesn't give a throat hit?

Thanks in advances.

PS, If it matters, I'm using a voopoo drag 2 w/ a Horizon Falcon King Mesh Sub-Ohm tank

I'll be honest... full blown DL tanks I don't have any experience with (but actually got my first one but haven't tried it yet)
Your wattage, airflow and nic strength all sound fine (assuming you are using the 0.16 ohm or 0.38 ohm coils)
Do you get good vapor production? Did you "prime the coils" (put a few drops of juice in the top of the coil) before using (and fill tank then let set a few minutes)? If so, then I can't offer much else advice. Are you sure your mod didn't change wattage setting (I always lock mine) It's easy to miss (my mod unlocks every time I change the battery and have to remember to lock it each time) Hope that helps. That is supposed to be a kick ... tank ;) I almost got one but I'm more of a restricted DL myself (my new DL tank came with the mod... not sure if I can handle it but will be fun to find out)

Thanks for the replies everyone!

I pulled out my old SMOK Morph that I stopped using because of leaking and the usb port not holding a charge and threw on on Horizon Falcon King Mesh Sub-Ohm Tank...ZERO harshness at 55W with ANY of my juices so I'm guessing the issue is with the VOOPOO mod.

I did a bit of research and it looks like the geekvape aegis x kit is pretty well reviewed...gonna pick that up and see how it goes!

Might be faulty coils, I had a few from smok, also the voopoo YC-R2 1.2mah coils for the Finic20 vape pen burn out really fast and give harsh vape. I don't have the tank you were using but I have another by Horizon- the Magico Nic Salts, and I have to say that the coils for it have nice flavor but somehow give dry aftertaste- my girlfriend gets dry throat from it, I noticed it but it's not an issue. I personally could vape chain oil and nothing would happen, I'm vaping 14mg nic now at 46W, smooth like silk to me haha :D

I'm using a drag 2 with the fireluke 2(very similar tank) at 55watts. I get no harshness. Not sure how switching to a different mod would make a difference. The drag 2 is an excellent mod. Better than anything smok makes. I'm finding the chip in this one to be very responsive, more so than the original drag. I just tried out all three FIT settings just now to see if I could tell a difference. Not so much but leave it on 1 just in case. I can find no fault with the drag 2 performance. Other than the battery cover rattles a bit, I really like this mod myself.
