The first thing I thought of when I saw your post was Crab Juice from BlueMist, LOL. Ohhh, that could end in disaster!

I just scanned the posts, and pretty much have the same sentiment . . . vaping is subjective to taste, so people smelling it will have the same reaction . . . not everybody likes the same thing.

The only other thing that I can think of is that it could be more psychological than anything. Sorry if somebody already said that, but it really could come down to the fact that you are smoking (in her eyes) in the car. Just another thought anyway. Sometimes I give up trying to read my wife, LOL.

She did say today that Halo's Freedom Juice "isn't bad"...

That would be great, as I really like Freedom! We'll see if tomorrow, she doesn't suddenly hate it, but for today, she's fine with me vapping Freedom! (She really is pretty easy to get along with, and doesn't find things to complain about, usually. Not sure why vapping initially was fine, but now that I've been vapping for several months, and no longer smoking, it bothers her...)

LOL, she's jealous. Everybody knows that quitting smoking is hard. She's jealous of your strong will.

Hopefully that juice works for her . . . otherwise, just get hundreds of juices and she'll be bound to like one. My wife really likes the smell of the fruity flavors, but doesn't like to vape them . . . me either, really, but if she was a non-smoker, I could probably live with it while I was around her.

My hubby and I are both vapers...but I absolutely cant stand the smell of tobacco blech! I always smoked cloved my entire life, and now i vape that....as well as a butterscotch flavor that everyone seems to love the smell of. ( I even get yum comments in the local walmart when i use that butterscoth!) But the hubby likes to get these rich tobacco flavors to vape...it kills me! But I put up with it because its better than the alternative....He and I try to compromise by trying to vape flavors we both like....maybe you can find something you like that she loves in real life so that the scent will bring about good memories....I get this way when mike vapes his banana bread....the smell brings me into my grandma's house in winter.....good luck!!

i personally can't stand the "tobacco" juices my hubby vapes either. i use anything minty, fruity, menthol, or sweet. he was a marl light smoker and i was a menthol smoker. i find it hilarious that we both found each other's analogs disgusting, and now in our little vaping world, we still are at opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to eliquid! he will ask me to try one of his new flavors, and ewwww. he will use a needle that i used for one of mine, and he will take a puff and ewwww, there is menthol in that! LOL we can't just find a common ground when it comes to our vapor! but we are both doing it, and being supportive of each other.

on topic, i have found that some flavors in the air do make me actually nauseus (spell!) so i wouldn't discount your wife's aversion altogether. remember that we are using food flavorings, and while they may seem "light" to us, to a complete non smoker some flavors may be overwhelming!

I am using a 54mg/ml PG cut down with VG and I add menthol crystals into a 18.9mg/ml liquid and some of my friends say they can smell what they call "tabaco" smell in the vapro? any ideas?

That they're being silly? :p  Seriously though, tell them the only thing that they should be smelling is A) the stuff used in fog machines and B) the scent used in Bengay. If they're smelling anything else it's their mind playing tricks on them. Or, maybe they just associate the smell of menthol with cigarettes? Who knows. :)

Shel,

The Creamy Vanilla at VaporsEtc is REALLY absent in scent but really good in flavor. They have excellent prices on their sampler packs too- 5 for $6.95- so ask your wife to choose a bunch of flavors from the list. Some people need to be "in charge" for them to be more agreeable to things=)

Also, when vaping, if you blow your vapor into your shirt sleeve, it doesn't fog up your car or room. My daughter likes the smell of my vapor but does get annoyed when the air inside the car gets all foggy.

I like caramel and my husband likes the smell (non smoker).

He did mention now that I am not smoking analogs that his sense of smell is better. He can now smell smoke on people whereas before he couldn't. It's probably like a smoker that quits and can now detect a smoker a mile away - they smell really bad now.

There are 8 people in my office. The only time that people have said that they smell the juice was when I was vaping food type juices. Most straight tobacco juice, they can't smell at all, with the exceptions being Wyatt Earp and Vapor Stations Frisco. They say they smell a Vanilla/ anise type smell from WE and a bakery, Vanilla from Frisco. I can smell Chocolate when my wife vapes her Tasty Vapor and Ms T's sweets type juices. I've never had a complaint in almost two years of vaping in regards to a bad smell that couldn't be tolerated.

Thanks Lori
Good suggestion!

Unfortunately (or maybe, fortunately???) just ordered several new flavors, for me to try out and see if she like's any of 'em. But I'll keep your suggestion in mind!

Yeah... I at times have a hard time believing that it can be THAT bothersome, seeing how most people say they can't even smell my vap... and that includes my mom, who is very smoke averse!

Still, trying to give my better half the benefit of the doubt, and searching for flavors that won't bother her. She did say that she didn't find Halo's Freedom offensive, but then the next day... today, she comes in the room and again says "eeeh... what is that smell???"... yeah.... Freedom!

My husband smelled vanilla for a week when I first started vaping. He said the whole house smelled like vanilla. I didn't use anything that I knew had vanilla in it, but I'll bet it did. It's a tobacco flavor, but I know there are other flavors in those to make them better. Real cigarettes (Marlboro's in particular) often have chocolate in them...but it sure doesn't help their odor any.

I think people can smell the "flavored" juices. I can at times...I think. :)
