I initially posted this in the New Member Forum as I am a new member, but it belongs here. Been reading and posting tonight, so met the requirement, so not a complete double-post, but it did have a "thanks for having me" title so some might not find it.
I know a lady that had some insert for the prescription vapors that doctors prescribe so I got a couple of the replacement tubes. They are wider than the Mega Carts and shorter. I used a Dremel to cut off the bottom of the Mega Cart about 1/4". The carto wasn't working right anyway. I used some of the caps LeCig covers their carts with to get an air tight seal. Removed the wadding from the cart and replaced with PTB. I had to cut the tube in the middle as it was too long for the prescript tube and bent the wires of the cart so they would fit. Used a nylon zip tie to get the bottom air tight so no leakage. I got it at 2.5 ml filled with no problems, but that was right at the top so I think that's the threshold. It vapes like crazy, so if you don't like a lot of vape, I wouldn't try it.
I have just cleaned it to use different flavor of liquid. It's easy, just removed the prescript tube, cleaned PTB, rewrapped and re-filled. This is labor intensive for some I know, but it takes 5 minutes for those who just want to re-fill, prolly will get mix taste of juices so I recommend cleaning.
It's my first mod, only been vapin' a few weeks and hope to do more mods as time progress. You could actually do this with just about any tubing, I think I am gonna try a clear Bic pen I have. It's got a crazy design on it and I can make it longer so we'll see. If I do, I will try to take pics and post build. I spent $4 on this thing minus the parts I already owned. It took maybe 20 minutes to make because I had to cut the tube with the Dremel and I sanded the black off. The tube had the writing from the manufacture on it. (Lot #, batch, etc. and NICOTINE 10mg) I scrapped off everything but the word NICOTINE.
