led color mod for 510

Ok im wanting to change the led in my no name 510 bats from red to blue and im strugleing to find a way to open the bat, remove the guts and put it back together cleanly. The threads have a notch in each side looking like you could just unscrew it but my research says its glued in pretty good. Any ideas? Im also planning to repaint it something other than white so scratches don't matter, I just want it to stay clean and pro looking after its done
