So, I'm rebuilding my juice box... this time to have a working LED... Well, mine seems to work too good because as soon as I put the battery in it turns out, ignoring the master switch.

The positive LED leg with the resistor is attached to the positive wire before the vape switch, so it will turn on when the master switch is on. The negative leg I had at first stuck onto the negative battery connector, as I had been instructed.. Well, the LED would stay on no matter if the master switch was on or off, so I thought ok maybe it needs to be attached to the master switch where the negative wire leaves it to attach to the atty connector... No dice, it still won't turn off... Any ideas and/or fixes?

I'll check this thread later I'm late for work, posts with fixes please!!:)

If you are saying you attached the resister positive side to the vape switch before the switch is activated because you want it to show it`s on. The negative could be attached to the ground of the atty/battery connector or the wire leaving the main on off switch.

If this is not turning off I`d say you need to look at the main power switch being the trouble here and always being on. They are cheap and I`ve had one totally missing a part in it. Sounds like the part I was missing is stuck to the on side of your switch. Does it vape with the switch being OFF?

This is what I figured it probably was last night at work (a friend of mine I talked to about it is a techy, I'm not). So I came home and tested it, sure enough, the master on/off switch was the problem, completely not working. So this morning I hooked up a different on/off switch that I ordered by accident but kept it. Good thing I did, because the mod works perfectly now. Also, it looks better (I think), and it can sit right side up without that nasty on/off switch in the way sticking out the bottom. I may just put these switches in all my future box mods as the on/off.

I tried that too having one leg of the led come on as long as the master was on and a different color...same led...come on when I pushed the button. Then I found the way it was wired I was still getting 1.8 volts at the atty with just the master on without pushing the button. Make sure you check continuity and voltages after you build a mod to double check your work.
