510 auto switch won't fire

Hello fellow Vaporers,
I'm building a 14500 box mod. Parts are from madvapes. I've built several with of these with a horn switch, no problem. Now I'm trying my hand with their 510 auto switch. So, I did a simple wire up. Positive direct to the auto switch exposed red positive connection and negative to their pre-exposed bare wire in the negative loop to the LED connection. it lights up the LED when you draw on the carto, but, no fire. no vape.

What have I missed?

The switch only handles the positive to the connector, the negative is supplied to the LED only. Have you got a negative going to the connector? Originally this is for a common ground metal tube, sounds like you have a plastic box.

I tried touching the ground directly to the 510 connector. I got the same result. LED fires red, but no heat to the atomizer.

Same issue on a second 510 auto connector. I gotta' think I have a more basic wiring issue.

Can you feel the positive pin from the carto making contact when screwing it on? It should protrude a bit beyond the threads before screwing on too. Either the positive or negative are not getting to the carto.

You have it wired right. [If you get light when you draw on it] I've used many of these and your wires are correct. Maybe center pins are not touching.
Ruined many because of liquid drip be careful. Using an Evod right now with 2 of these switches and both work well with the Evod less prone to drip through center.
