LED tip design: Is it possible?

I see the issue with wiring a LED at the tip of a mod: How do you take the batteries in and out? You are likely to damage the wires by unscrewing and tightening the end cap all the time. The likelihood for damage reappears in every implementation I come up with, which seems to demonstrate why I have only seen lighted tips available on the smaller, mass-produced models.

But, has anyone successfully made a LED tip on a battery mod? If so, how? Can anyone show pics on this? I have searched the forum, but I’m not finding anything addressing this topic directly.

If you used an EGO type cone but clear and extended it past the end of the cartomizer it could be LED lit from the bottom. Much like fibre optics work.

That's a great idea! Thanks. I will see what I can find to fit the bill, and post pics if I pull it off.

also check out the rn4063 e cigars, they have the led built into the end cap
