Legacy question (adding the washers?)

I installed my new kick on my Legacy and with 18490 is just a heaven! But i have extension and tried to set it up with 18650 battery and.. nothing.. I heard I have to add (remove) the washers on the bottom cap.. I tried all different combinations of 2,3,4, even 5 washers and it's or doesn't firing or firing just when I pres the contact button kind of on the edge of it. Tried to press right in the center- nothing.. Unfortunately I have no user's manual left.. How can I fix the problem?

Did you put the washers on top of the delrin ring or on bottom?

on the bottom. I just added washers..
Now I'm back to 18490 and it works like a champ again..

I just checked my setup. I used 2 locking washers and 1 of the regular washers. It fires every time for me. Here is a silly question, have you metered the 18650 battery to make sure it wasn't the issue?

The issue is probably that I haven't used the locking washers.. I used the regular ones.. damn.. I will try with the locking washers.

No.. Doesn't work.. Even with one regular and 2 lock washers from the kit.. I use AW 18650 bat.

How many batteries (18650) have you tried it with? I had an 18650 go bad on me the other day. It really sounds like there is a short somewhere and the kicks safety protection is kicking in.

Only one- that's all I have. I'll leave that idea for a while until I'll get a couple of new AW's. Thanks for the warning, pal!
