Legend has cherry notes to it. It's part of the profile. Sometimes it might comes off as something else, but it's definitely cherry notes.

And that's fine and like I said it was still good
just different

the bigger thing was the first bottle had a sharpness to the flav the 2nd did not

the first one was perfect had I not had that first I would have liked the 2nd much more

more then that I just don't have the confidence to get the bigger bottles if I cant rely on consistancy

Steeping, and steep time, has a lot to do with HHV's e-liquid.

Serendipity and Legend come from the same base, but use different extraction lengths to arrive at the stated flavor profile. Once while in a tank, Serendipity was itself, the next day it was Legend, and then it was back to Serendipity the next -- in the same tank without refilling.

That can be a blessing and a curse, relying on such extraction/steeping lengths to get a flavor. That was the whole Gand0lf-gate, which led to the current iteration of Legend. That, and the source tobacco relying on weather conditions. NETs can be finicky. HHV does strive to keep the profile across extractions and across tobacco crops, and once known about, they work hard to correct those issues.

Also, our own taste buds change/heal over time. Is my favorite Heavenly Army as wonderful today as it was the first time I discovered it? No, it tastes slight different, but I am used to it and my senses bring the tobacco further up these days, but I still enjoy the heck out of it.

Especially because you mentioned only legend and serendipity being effected

I noticed with the other juice I ordered and the 2nd order they were no different then the first only legend
And man that is a good juice when it has that sharpness

HHV has a couple of "sibling" e-liquids that begin with the same base, and through serendipity of extraction times has different flavors. Legend and Serendipity, Heavenly Army and Shadow, and I think it was Dragon's Fire and Pirate's Booty... something like that.

All of their juices (Purity/NET tobaccos) DO change with steeping. While many are fantastic out of the mail, some get better or nuanced through steeping. I prefer HA without a long steep myself, while Legend just gets better and better over time (for me). But with many thing, YMMV.

If you do try it again, I hope it's love at second sight for you :) I know how frustrating it is when things change like that. Luckily, there are a myriad of choices to help fill the void if something doesn't work out.

Steeping is never an issue with me I always steep and am willing to steep a long time if necessary
My fav Smooth Criminal is best after 2 month steep

In fact that's when Dragons fire came alive for me at the 2 month mark

its this that I took notice to

To me, it's a slightly sweet pipe tobacco, a little woodsy with dark fruity notes (cherry, grape/raisin). It a very nice authentic pipe tobacco. It's in my top 10 list from HHV.

Am I the only one who tastes bananas in Legend?

I can see you getting banana.. there is a kind of creamy sweetness in there.

That's what she said.

All I know is it was in my first HHV order
And I thought this is it

got it in second order
I thought what is this
It was still really good but different then when I first ordered

So I have I shied away from reordering again

Same, I really loved it when it was Gandalf. Order a second bottle and well it wasn't the same, not really even close. Been thinking of trying it again because I really loved that first bottle.

This entire thread is quite interesting, and I quoted just a few that I wanted to add comments to...but at the moment I can't find the words  ............
