I guess some people just don't know when to stop. At least you could be informed when you criticize. Is that too much to ask? Look at who voted for HR 1256. It wasn't just Democrats. Plenty of Republicans voted for it too. Most of them, in fact. Furthermore, the bill hasn't been signed into law yet, so your statement about that is incorrect too.

Look, it's simple. We're all trying to work together here. Democrats and Republicans. There are going to be moments when we clash and there are going to be threads where a discussion of our various political viewpoints are appropriate. This isn't one of them. All you're doing here is launching rhetorical attacks on a party you disagree with. It's counter productive and inappropriate for this thread. I suggest you give it a rest before a moderator closes the thread altogether.

That's not "being testy," that's trying to move forward.

democrats control congress last i check so it really does not matter if some republicans did vote for it...and if you look all the no votes except for one came from republicans

The corporations and lobbyists control BOTH parties. Heck only the "crazy" libertarians and other independents aren't in anyone's pockets. "A house divided cannot stand". Lets not get convoluted here. As for the "for the kids" bit, Obama used that word for word at his AMA speech this past week to a standing ovation. Unconstitutional power consolidation is occuring now that makes the civil liberties already lost pale in comparison. Its not like it hasn't been going on, just know we are becoming more aware. These powers aren't even being exercised yet, but they ARE being secured step by step. This article was laughable at best, and the comments if you read them at the bottom are probably one of the best examples of positive feedback I've seen. Silence ignorance with knowledge, problem solved.
