So i did this and it worked!!!!! The issue with the ohm is gone too.
One new problem has occurred though, with the positive pin being loosened the positive connector on the deck is wobbly which causes shorts. I tried to fix it by putting a spare rubber O-ring on the positive pin that screws the positive part of the deck down. So far it seems to be okay. I am just wondering if this fix is a good and safe way or is there something else i should do.
I just read back through this thread and realized you have a Lemo 2. Mine is the original Lemo. Still I assume this part of it works the same.
OK. There are 2 screws involved here. The first screw is the one that attaches to the positive part of the deck. That screw should always be in tight. If that's the screw you put the o-ring under you should take it off. As long as that screw is tightened up the positive on the deck won't be able to move.
Then look at the bottom section of the tank, the part that screws into the mod. There should be a screw on the bottom of that. That screws into a dome shaped piece on the inside. When the bottom section is attached to the tank that dome shaped piece will be in contact with the end of the screw that goes up to the positive on the deck. The screw you should be loosening is the one on the bottom. You might have to hold the dome shaped piece while you loosen the screw. Just back the screw out a couple of turns. It will be loose at that point and the dome shaped piece will be loose as well. But when you put the bottom section back on the tank that should push the dome shaped piece firmly down.
On mine the screw on the bottom will be loose at this point, and it should be extending slightly from the negative ring. You can put an o-ring under this screw to keep it stable but it isn't completely necessary. It needs a really small o-ring. The ones from the small screwdrivers you get with some tanks are perfect. Or you can cut a small piece from a larger o-ring with a razor knife.
Again mine is an original Lemo and it might be different from yours so I apologise if I'm misleading you. But it seems like you're making progress anyway. Let us know how it goes.
