Stress on the battery will also depend on the resistance you're putting on it, so it's not really possible to say definitively.

At sub-Ω you could well have problems. At higher values, may be ok.

Take a few of your long draws, quickly pop out the battery and take it's temp. If if feels hot, you're stressing it pretty hard, likely bad in the long run if not the short!

From my experience :

I've got two devices that have that timed shut off. My provari is sixteen seconds and my mvp is 10 or 12.

On a mouth inhale, I struggle to take longer than six seconds before I just don't have room anymore.

At that point, I release the button, inhale to my lungs and possibly start again.

But... I don't hit straight to lungs. My atty isn't a super airy dripper or anything like that.

A ten second cut off isn't something that hampers me with one caveat :

The mvp takes a moment to shut down after I release the button. If I'm chaining pretty quickly, it will trigger the shut off because I don't give it that second to really stop.
