Which instructions did you follow? :) These are so new that there has been some confusion. I fill them from the top after removing the black part and rubber stopper. Did you fill it enough? over 3ml? Is it firing but just not producing much vapor? Did you let it sit for several minutes after filling? Try wiping the battery connection and carto threads?

I filled it just as you described with 3ml. It does not fire at all. Yes I have let it sit for some time. Just now wiped the batt connection and carto threads. No change. When I draw on it, it sounds like it has a leak in the mouthpiece (rushing air), but there's no leak I can find.

I just responded to a post on the LEO thread that is having the identical problem.

If you have access to a digital multimeter check the resistance between the center post and the threads. This will tell you if the carto is truly dead or if there is another issue. What device are you trying to fire it with and what resistance are the carto's. If it is too low of a resistance many devices will think there is a short and not power it up.

It's a Leo (3.4 under load I believe) and Leo cartos are usually 2.8, though supposedly there are 2.0s around as well.

I just got a box of leo carto's to try on my ego as they where on a steep sale. Trying to test them out now but they have glued on hard caps... =[ I think I may need to get the drill bits out... I am going to check the resitance here in a minute and will let you know what it is on mine.

If they are 2.5 or above just about any standard device should fire them with no problem. Even 2.0 should be ok. I think when you get down around 1.5 is where you start causing havoc with some devices. =]

Ok, the generic LEO cartomizers that i picked up measure in at 2.5 ohms. Still can't figure out what the difference between these and a 510 cartomizer is. I see absolutely no difference. I'm not happy with the hard cap but at the price I got these at I think I will order a bunch for spares.

That leaves me back at the OP's post, and I think the first place to start is to pull out a second and see if you get the same results. I would use your least favorite juice for testing. =] I keep a large bottle of 100% PG tobacco that I don't like for this purpose. That is unless you have access to a multi meter to track down the actual failure point.

How to you get them to work on a 510? Is there a 510-Leo adapter? I knew there was a Leo-510....

They do pull apart, but a fair amount of force is needed. They produce excellent flavor. Perhaps the space between the tiny hole on the carto and the tiny hole on the mouthpiece concentrates it....

I just did some looking on some web sites and it does look like what I purchased is not actually for the LEO. The LEO appears to use a wider thread. I'm guessing there is either a 510 version of the leo or what I bought was miss labeled.

But, my trouble shooting suggestions should still hold true for any cartomizer.

Ok, I'm off to bed to so I can get up and earn more money to spend on vaping...

:)

You're just conflating Boge Cartos (available for 510's 808's and probably others) with Leo Cartos made only for Boge's proprietary PV (the Leo). I'm glad you didn't buy the Leo cartos -- you would just have to return them! :)

have a good night!

I have tried about 10 of the 4ml Leo cartomizers, and had one dud. Other than that, they work fine. When filling with a thick juice, patience is required. I add 6 or 7 drops at a time then wait several minutes before repeating, up to a total of at least 80 drops. If you don't give it time with the thick juices (my current favorites are BWB Casablanca and Malty Toffee, which is the consistency of maple syrup) the batting won't get fully soaked and you get a burnt taste. You need to fill it slowly, avoiding getting anything down the center channel, until a drop or two comes out at the bottom. This may take 15 or 20 minutes, but you are getting 4ml total which will last a good long time. If the draw gets too hard after a while, a carefully inserted paper clip through the battery end will usually help.
