Less puffing gives more vapor for me

Hello All....

If you was like me just starting out, it takes some getting use to the carts, at first you puff hard thinking you'll get more vapor. Only to find it don't work very good, so you puff even harder thinking you'll got more vapors then.

After a bit though I found puffing softer gives more vapor, if you puff to hard it don't give it air to make much vapor. So here is what works for me, to get more and better vapor.

First pull the cart filter out just a tad past the cart, next add juice 2 drops then let it sit for a while, then add a few more drops. Then take soft puffs and work up from there, once it's going it should work well.

Once you start losing vapor, add a few more drops right away, if it drys up to much it's back to the start to get good vapor again. Also I found holding my ecig, level as if it was a tobacco cig works best, at times I point it down just a tad.

I'm eVapin a joye 510 manual button, the reason it works like that I'm sure, is that when you puff to hard it pulls all the air out. And it needs air to make good vapor, it's also the reason they got little holes in the atoms.

To let air flow in so it can make good vapor then, I also push the button a sec before puffing, that helps preheats the atom. And gives it time to start making vapor, before puffing the air out. That my take on it, feel free to ad your own take on it if you want. :D

I've been getting frustrated with both my DSE901 and DSE084. Same with both. You can only get a good hit if you drip straight onto the atomizer. Rest of the time I'm about to hyperventilate trying to get a good hit out of it. Then suddenly, the 901 starts hitting like a freight train. I don't know that this is what I'm doing but I'm going to pay more attention to how I hit these things. Thanks.

Another trick on the 510 is to wrap your finger and tumb around the atomizer vents (not too tight) and draw slow.

There is nothing worse than getting e liquid in the mouth. It numbs the taste buds for a while. So again with the 510; every once and a while (when you hear a gurgling sound), pull the cart and blow (where you normally suck) into a paper towel to clear the cart vents and do the same on the screw end of the atomizer (don't get much vapor when the atomizer is drowning). This will really improve the amount of vapor a 510 puts out.

I have found that if you give a couple quick puffs (just like if you've got an analog that is about to go out and trying to keep it lit) then take a good drag you'll get tons of vapor and not have to draw as hard or long.

Exactly! I was just going to post this solution, and you beat me to it!
I like to call it "kick-starting" my e-cig! :D Two quick "mouth-only" hits followed by one long drag. It seems to warm the atomizer up for the big (3rd) drawl.

This is the best way I found to get great vapor and excellent throat hit from my White Super Mini.

Even so, I find that some e-cigs respond completely different. My M801 doesn't need to be "kick-started" at all, one smooth drag does it. However, I get smoother, warmer, fuller throat hit from the Super Mini than the M801.

I was coughing at first also, till I got use to the stronger throat hit, from my 510 ecig.

I love my 510 after learning to puff it right, some times I have to adjust the little holes in the atom as well, but once it right it's great vapin. :)

Can we get a clarify on "adjust" you drill em out, plug one or two off, or what?
Still a NEWB...
But just over two weeks on my 510's and already ordered enough crap to make ounces of juice in 14 flavors and 4 more complete 510s.. Vapor is for sure the way to LIVE and be addicted to nicotine!

I have to stress this to everyone who wants to try my ecig, because for some reason they're almost guaranteed to suck on it as hard as they can as if that's how it works. "Like a straw" is good, I'll try saying that next time. I don't know about the rest of you but I only mouth inhale the ecig, then take it into the back of my throat just a little like a cigar and exhale quickly. A lot of first timers on the ecig do a direct-lung inhale and choke.

I also tell everyone they'll probably hate it the first time, because they usually do :D

Not too much different than the first time you take a drag of a cigarette!

I love the "drinking straw" explanation too. I've had several friends try mine out, and they always do one of two methods: sucking hard, or sucking directly to the lungs (I've suggested to some to *not* "treat it like a joint" ). They either get no vapor or end up coughing their butts off.

From now, I'll suggest they treat it like they're drinking from a straw! Perfect!

I always thought thats how you smoke a regular cigarette, I have never sucked directly into the lungs.

Same here.... no wonder I see smokers coughing up lungs. I tried that with a smoke yesterday and it was horrible. It frightens and confuses me as to how some people can do it like that and still live.... until cancer sets in.

The secret is that the atomizer works by heating up the liquid, if you pull to hard it cools down the Atty chamber slowing down the amount of vapor produced.

The hotter you keep that chamber the thicker the vapor.

I agree with everyone "Slow and Steady".

I actually don't know how not to inhale directly into my lungs. I'm hoping to learn by practicing with my PV so that some day I can properly enjoy a cigar or a pipe without turning green.
