Because I use Empiremods drip shields, all my atties need to be on a shorty extension.
Here is one on my Provari (without the shield over it)

Note that the small gap is between the atty and the extension instead of between the extension and the PV.
I left the pin long because I wanted to increase the air flow/wicking ability to that atty.
If the gap was between the PV and the extension it would be below the o-ring in the drip shield, and wouldn't have the same effect.

ahhhhhhhh so it looks as though this is definitely a common thing amongst provaris. i guess i will have to file it down. its going to be interesting seeing me try to do that haha.

so when you started using your provari, did you notice a more airy draw? less of a throat hit in comparison with your previous PV? i assume regardless of whether the space is between pv/adapter or adapter/hardware it will still have the same airy effect?

(PS - that is a sizeable scratch, that poor thing :( )

i actually tried to slip a drip shield over the Phoenix carto to see if that would help the draw at all, but it doesnt fit over the plastic tubing without ripping the inner o-rings out of place
