¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I only vape 2 simple juices - juice 1: 6% Peppermint (I use almost any peppermint for this, FA is the only one I don't like unless mixed half & half with another peppermint) and juice 2: FW Black Licorice 2.5%).

I used to vape 50VG but for most of my tanks I moved to 70VG to "fix" AFC weeping I would always get using certain factory coils. Switching to 70VG solved this issue for some coils and greatly helped on the others (60VG and 65VG did nothing), but the problem is that it 70VG the juices above are noticeably sweeter at the same flavor percentages as with 50VG, and most of the time I just can't stand it. I generally have a sweet tooth, but for some reason VG sweetness really bugs me really bad. In fact, VG sweetness is one of the main reasons I can't go unflavored. VG sweetness makes me gag without flavor.

I tried reducing the flavors by 1% but that doesn't do much to remove sweetness, it merely reduces the flavor/taste ...and quite a bit actually.

I did read on reddit where some people say that FA Bitter Wizard "should" be able to lessen the sweetness of VG, but I have also read people say that FA Bitter Wizard also tends to mute flavor(s) in a juice a few days after mixed. I have not tried it myself, though.

Anyone have actual success dumbing-down the sweetness of VG?

Cranberry or blackcurrant should pair well with your go tos if kept low I would think and should introduce a sharp note to cut the sweetness. FLV blackcurrant is the one I would recommend to try 1st. INW Lime would be my choice for the licorice. Might also play around with adding dw starting with 1-2%.

I would try FA Bitter Wizard. Try 1-3 drops per 30ml with some flavorless (start with 1 drop and add to taste). No need to steep it.

"Balance your juice ! With the Bitter Wizard we are glad to announce another new development, designed to reduce or eliminate the sweet basic taste given by PG or VG. Adding the BW at 1%, vapers can get a pleasant bitter aftertaste, which can be enhanced further increasing the dosage."
