Woot!! My starter kit just came via the UPS man and I am now officially vaping! I'm actually a bit dizzy right now from trying out all the different carts

Way different from analogs. My first few hits off the menthol cart 'bout choked me half to death. But I quickly got the hang of it. Now that I have all my stuff, I'm just waiting for my carrying case and I'll be a happy camper!

I did learn a valuable lesson! Carts are non-returnable with V2 unfortunately. The menthol is a bit strong, even the light(6) and the peppermint tastes like toothpaste. I did order a sampler pack and should've tried that before ordering other packs of carts. They even threw in a complimentary menthol disposable which tasted much better than the menthol cart. Gave that one to my wife to hopefully get her on the road to vaping too! Oh well! Now I see why so many post to buy the smallest size first before going all in. Thankfully I did receive a black Friday discount and a coupon code, so I'm not losing too much on the carts. Maybe with some future juice I can make them more to my liking.

I see I'm going to have to experiment with the VG/GP ratios. I now understand what "throat hit" means. Wasn't sure at first, thought I knew, but now I'm sure By checking out the really cool chart on this forum that explains how the VG/GP ratios work and now actually vaping, I can hopefully figure out how to buy flavors more carefully balanced to my tastes sooner rather than later.

Well off I go into the world of vaping!!

Welcome to vaping! It's wonderful, isn't it? I've been doing it for 3 weeks, and haven't had a dirty old cigarette yet.

If you get some of the blank cartridges from V2, you can buy your own juice and refill them with juice from other vendors.

Welcome to the ECF and enjoy your new hobby. It's great to hear from people who understand that their first choice may not be the best, especially when it comes to flavors. It sometimes takes quite a bit of trial and error to find the perfect one.

Welcome aboard Doctor J . IDK what your vaping technique is but if you aren't already try taking a slower and longer drag off your ecig than you did on the real ones and see if that helps any. Most of the nicotine is absorbed in your mouth and nasal passages as opposed to the lungs.
You can blow a little out if you like before inhaling too. Try different techniques to see if anything helps with that. Also ,be aware that the longer you are off tobacco, the more sensitive your taste will become.

I have to admit I'm a little jealous, no sign of my kit yet, some time today hopefully!

I'm hoping that wafting all those lovely smelling vapours around the house might encourage my Hubby to have a go too. Good luck and let us know how you get on!

I don't know if you previously smoked cigarettes, but for me, I've quit them completely. Honestly, now it's just a hobby. Something to collect. Especially since I work in a vape shop, I just do it as a hobby now, haha.

UPDATE: I looked back at my original post and realized that the cart flavors I received were included with the kit, so I really didn't lose any money, I just found out one of the flavors I don't like

Yes gimme, it took me a few hours to get my technique down. That first vape hit, I took it like an analog hit and like I said, 'bout coughed my head off. But I've got the hang of it now.

Yes Fatboy, I WAS an analog smoker for 36 years. I tried quitting sooooo many times, but none of the cessation products ever worked for me. Only the lozenges came close. The gum tasted like crap and gave me a headache. And I could never figure how to keep the darn patches lit

Be patient BB. Your kit will arrive before you know it and you won't messing with those fags anymore LOL (Disclamer: Not a derogatory comment on sexual preference. Inside joke from a previous post. BB is from across the Pond and fags=analogs)

I started vaping as soon as my kit got here last evening around 5pm. Haven't had an analog smoke yet. I tried one just to see what it tasted like around 10. Two puffs and I put the nasty tasting thing out. I think vaping is getting me off analogs for good. It hasn't even been one day yet but I can tell my sense of smell is different. I'm sure that will become more accute as will the changing in my sense of taste. I'm sure after 36 years of analogs both of these senses are pretty much shot. I'm looking forward to the changes a lot of vaper's experience after they've been off of analogs for awhile.

Well, so far--so good!! 17 hours and counting And I'm loving it!! Oh yeah Morp, I've already looked into the blanks and other flavors. Go to ECBlends!! WOW, more flavors than you can vigorously jiggle a wooden tree appendage at I already have about 10 in my cart and some blanks ordered.

Lucky you Fatboy! working in a vape shop. Where I'm located, we are lucky to have ONE, yes, just ONE smoke shop within 45 miles. So I have to do all my vape shopping via the web and snailmail You are quite right cyberwolf. I'm sure it's gonna take some trial and error to get some flavors that I enjoy. And I'm sure that will probably change too as my sense of taste recovers from the 36 years of abuse I put taste buds though after smoking 1.5 to 2 packs a day. I even continued to smoke after I had a stroke 5 years ago. And I thought drugs made you stupid!! Well nic is a drug too, but I think you get the idea

What a wonderful community this forum is!! I've only been a member for a day and I feel so right at home!! Thanks all for the advice, input, etc. I'm looking forward to a long and beautiful stay here with my fellow vapers! (getting a tissue, I think I'm gonna cry )
