3/32 air hole

ss rope 3/32 7x19

cheesecloth threads wrapped around top

kanthal a-1 28 gauge 3/4wraps

Panasonic cgr18650ch high drain 10a

0.8 ohms

4.625 amps

17.1125 watts

3.7 volts

I found a new wicking material. these pics are after going through 4 tanks of about a 50/50 mix. I do tilt the mod but im not sure if its even necessary. Huge milkey white thick clouds. I had to dilute my 18mg with vg cause it was making me sick from too much nicotine. This cotton top wick is still white after 4 tanks. No hot spots. no shorts. tastes amazing i can actually taste my juice now. No worry of chromium 6 or silicosis. I feel for me this is the safest, easiest, way to vape. all the material can be purchased for dirt cheap. im sure the rope will be in pristine condition after i replace the cotton. I could probably re-use this rope for god knows how many times.

I tried the cheesecloth threads on ceramic wicks and did not like the taste. My opinion is that ceramic is the way to go if you can wrap a tight coil. Nothing better for me. I don't need to tilt with these ceramic wicks either.

Whatever works for you, everyone has there reasons behind there wicks. For me its really based on safety since i love to vape and dont plan on quiting any time soon. So I figure cotton is the safest since i wear cotton shirts and sleep with a cotton pillow in my face every night. The cotton is the best flavor I have experienced so far. It def beats cartomizers and thats what i was looking for. As for ceramic I would like to try it out but I just cant seem to find out exactly what type of ceramic this is. I would want to make sure it is a safe material. Any ideas? then also I would have to drill out my aga t2 because I haven't had much luck on finding ceramic to fit in the aga t2.

I hear that ceramic is safe. I use the AGA-T and AGI. I drilled both wick holes to fit my ceramic wicks to about 1/8". These wicks will not be strong enough smaller than 1/8".

ok 1/8 is the size i will go for the when i get another aga t2 and decide to drill out my old one. but of course i dont have a drill press, and im sure i woudnt be able to drill this out with a hand drill. especially since i need to leave the existing edge how it is next to the screw hole. its already really close. i have a hard time not touching the screw with the first wrap already. i may need to take it to a machine shop or something.

You can find a smaller head screw for the ground. I used a hand held drill for mine. Just have to be careful. I saw an AGA-T2 for 15 bucks in the classified section here today.

smaller head screw duh i didnt even think of that. man i cant imagine drilling that thick deck. i drilled out an igo w airhole today and it took me like over an hour. then it finally went through and kinked sideways, and made the hole all messed up. I then had to drill it out to 1/8. wow what a hole. im pretty ....... i must need some titanium bits. and 15 dollars for an aga t2 is a steal. its a pretty good quality build and its stainless steel.

call me crazy, i use ss mesh wrapped around a 3/32in ss cable and get plenty of sweet vapor with 24 gauge kanthal on my agat2. i know that this is against everything this thread stands for, but i smoked cigarettes, and i, personally, know that ss mesh is safer than arsenic, CO and other chemicals in cigs. i know there are purists who are trying to find a way to vape completely unadulterated and chemical/carcinogen/metal-free, but i enjoy my vape, and i actually sleep a lot better than pre-ecigs. i think we will be grey and old before we find a completely non-toxic, "safe," and consistent vape. that's just what i think. i wish to be proven wrong and that we can all safely vape off the mist gathered on glass tubes and the like, but until all the judgements' out, i will stick with my mesh and cable :D

same problems with drilling out my air holes with a power drill. turns out i wasnt using the right bit. it took me well over an hour to drill my cobra clone top cap from stock to 5/64. i was using a black oxide bit for that one. i have then noticed that COBALT bits are the best for stainless steel and tough metals. you dont need titanium. i got another cobra clone, did the same hole to it. took a couple minutes. same experience with my zatty clone. takes no time to drill with a cobalt bit. hope that helps man!
