My original passthrough was dead on arrival. Steve was kind enough to replace it with a working one. But just after a week, it started acting up. Right now it is cutting off too soon and I am unable to get descent amount of vapor. I have treated it with great fragile. I tried draining it overnight to see if any liquid got inside, but not a single drop appeared. I am too shy to ask for another replacement and I would rather order a new one. My concern is, what if it dies out too soon again? =\ My 3 week old penstyle atomiser and one of my battery are rare breeds and puts out tons of vapor. The throat hit with that combination is amazing even with low nic liquid. Please share your experience with your PS USB Passthroughs....

this is rubbish,
you should get another replacement,
and keep getting it replaced
till you get a good working product !!!!!

shy has nothing to do with it ---
you are entitled to a good working product.

if there is a real problem with these usb's
the supplier should pull them.

any decent supplier should only sell good working products.

Well I ordered two and one didnt seem to work so they sent me a replacement. This was done the same time they were moving.. It may just be mine but we have a white penstyle and a black one.. The white penstyle atomizer wont connect with the USB Passthroughs which makes them appear to be not working.. Will send one back to you Steve tomorrow or the next day to the new address in TN. Thank you for sending a replacement during your hectic move. Now to just catch your products available at the same time I have funds lol..

GotVape,

Have you tried sucking on the passthrough direct to see if its able to stay on for longer than 3-4 seconds? and have you tried a 2nd atomizer to make sure its not some sort of odd issue?

The passthrough cuts off exactly at 2 seconds now when I suck on it directly. I tried it with another atomiser.... same result.

I'm having trouble with the 901 passthrough i received yesterday. Sent a message through the website yesterday and waiting on a reply. Not a big deal if i take the hit on this. I might just order another one to avoid the hassle of having to send this one back. Anyone else get a defective passthrough from the orders from the 20th? just trying to see if it was a crappy batch.

btw i have the same problem cuts off after 1-2 seconds...even with no atomizer attached

I have passthroughs from 3 different suppliers, I don't carry them myself. I have found that they work better on an external battery source, seems I have too many things plugged into my laptop, (wireless mouse and keyboard) which is taking some of the power from my passthrough. On our other computer it works fine nothing else in the USB ports. don't know if this helps, but a thought.

Thanks Kathy. I used my passthrough with APC UPB10 mobile power supply. There were occasions when I plugged it in my PC. If I ever get a replacement I'll keep that in mind.

I'm not saying anything bad about Puresmoker. Steve is a good supplier and a good guy, but right now I am just tired of waiting and have no idea what to expect. All I need is a word back from them. If they say no to replacing it again, that is fine. At least I'll know what to do and what to expect. I have no idea whether he is just waiting for stock to come in (if this is the case I think we are entitle to a refund so we can look somewhere else for supply). I am close to returning to analog soon. =\

I tried several USB ports all over my house to be sure(Laptop, Desktop front and back ports, keyboard usb, PS3,Xbox360, D-link NAS) i figured at least 1 of them would have the correct voltage but all produced the same result. I did notice if i blow lightly into the passthrough it will light up very brightly untill i stop, this doesnt happen when do the same to a battery. I'm curious and if i dont get a reply back i may just open it up to play with.

Half the smoke as a fully charged battery right? Heres what I had to do on my laptop to get it to produce big smoke.

Usually the USB port on laptops have them stacked. Plug your pass-thru on the top and some type of usb 2.0 device on the bottom. This will should insure that the port you are using is producing the most power it can.

Oh sorry forgot to add, the switch is extremely sensitive. I have 4 of them and they all act that way.

Hint: Powered USB hub :).

Plus when it is time to bug out, you only have one connector to pull. Can be sorta like those laptop docks they used to sell.

Just make sure the power supply for it is husky enough. IIRC mine is 2A which is plenty for me as 99.99% of the time I have nothing power hungry plugged into it. HTH.
