After filling out the CASA, I would like to say it did get to my congressman. I just recently received a letter. Although it's not a very informative letter, it tends to show a "blanket agreed" type response. Here's the letter I recieved:
ROB WOODALL
SEVENTH DISTRICT, GEORGIA
___

COMMITTEE ON RULES

___

COMMITTEE ON OVERSIGHT AND GOVERNMENT REFORM

___

Jun 27, 2014

<My name and address>

Dear Mr. BXXXXXXX

Thank you for contacting me to express your opposition to regulating electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes). It is good to hear from you, and I can assure you that we are in complete agreement about additional federal regulations.

I generally believe we need to move away from the idea of the Federal government regulating in a broad and expansive way. If e-cigarettes are to be further regulated, such measures should be developed and implemented at the state and local level rather than by unelected bureaucrats in Washington.

Thank you again for contacting me. If I can ever be of service in the future, please don't hesitate to call upon me.

Sincerely,

Rob Woodall
Member of Congress

RW:tc

Although it seems he seems to agree about the Federal proposal, it doesn't offer any of his personal insights on the subject. It also doesn't say anything about if he agrees or disagrees with the proposed agenda, just a sort of blanket statement. I personally believe that a lot of control should be handled on the state level and not the federal level, but that's my political view. As far as E-cigarettes go, they should be regulated on a state level as well, but I personally believe they should be treated as a separate entity than cigarettes entirely, that the FDA should only be used as an advisory agent on the subject of Ecigarettes.

Just thought I'd share my views and this letter.

He is lying. The Obama tobacco Reform act grandfathers all tobacco products sold in the U.S. sometime in 2007. Since chins juices were being sold. At least they are protected. All Americans pick up most of the health care costs of the 750,000 tobacco related deaths in the U.S. annually. More deaths happen from misuse or accident from supermarkets and Home Centers like like, arsenic, bleach, etc. Nicotine is already obtainable in liquid form. The FDA has already approved the sale OTC of Nasal spray
Inhalers, Gums, Chewables and Lozenges. You can't ban one without banning the others and its now the FDA's responsibility, not States.

I wouldn't say he's lying. Most of his forms and proposals are to reverse or repeal many of Obama's decisions... especially in the healthcare department. I wouldn't call HIM lying. From what I've gathered from his votes, is he believes in a less controlling federal government and a more locally controlled government. I think that's why he replied the way he did... he doesn't like the way the federal government is abusing too many powers. In either case, his beliefs seem similar to mine. He seems to be geared more towards budgeting and money than the healtcare aspect though.
