I rebuilt my kfl over a month ago, using 28ga and reading 1.6 ohms. I was changing out the wick and burning it every weekend but I started to notice that it was a more flavorful vape at the end of the week instead of at the beginning. Hmmm... so I decided to experiment. I let it go 2 weeks. Also note that I average about 6 to 8 mls of liquid a week, and after the two weeks the coil looked like some horrible swamp monster but I cleaned it up good as new. I was thrown by the difference of how the rejuvenated coil vaped and I didn't like it. The best way to describe it would be that it was too "sharp". I'm back to week two and this coil is vaping pretty again, it even seems to produce more vapor (could be my imagination). Has anyone else tried letting their coil cake up?
