Bandit gave me an idea so I tried it

Where I got my idea:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ion/35396-anyone-working-510-cartomizers.html

Now I didn't use a 510, but I did use a 306 which fits a 510 connection and is basically the "same"

Parts used.
1. joye306 atty (tubeless atty...exposed)
2. cap for 801 cart
3. dummy 801 mouthpiece
4. filling from an empty cartomizer Kr808 ( i used it because it is rolled)
5. liquid

Drill hole in end of 801 cart cap
insert 306 atty
wrapped filling around atty
dripped approx 30 drips (well drips seem to be subjective here so I would say more drips than I do in a Kr808)

capped with dummy mouth piece

recorded :p I am vaping it pretty hard and getting GREAT vapor

its a rough draft... but it is a creat concept cartomizer hehe

drab sample video.. nothing fancy or "funny"

YouTube - 306/801 hybrid cartomizer

whacha think?
Edit: I appologize but I posted this in the cart mod section as well... I really didn't know where to put it

Interesting. A few questions. When you cut the hole for the 306 atty is it just for the atty bridge or for over the atty housing? And then are you using anything to seal it?

It covers the housing as well the whole atty is inside the 801 cap.... THIS one I haven't sealed the filling is wrapped around the atty and is stuffed pretty good....it hasn't leaked yet ( i made the hole just enough to squeeze the atty through) and like the KR808 if you don't overfill it should be ok

I am thinking that it would be better sealed... I will work on that as well.

I am still using it fine... I will post pics up sometime today

Thanks, lgd. Might not need a seal... I actually have all the components although I haven't cut a carto up yet or is there another way to extract?

you can try it unsealed
just make the hole just big enough and push it in from starting top 801 cap thread side first of the 306
use the dummy mouthpiece that the 306 came with to push it in
then wrap the filling around it prior to removing the 306 dummy

... all you need from the carto is the fill... or you could just use a fill that is in a strip.... pics are on its way
