Hi to all Malaysian vapers,

What is the perspective of the goverment on e-liquid. Is it being categorize as "tobacco Product" or "Pharmaceutical Product"? As far as i know selling either one need a special license from the relevant authorities. Does anyone here have any experience in applying for the license? Or selling it with the altitude of "Tak apa".

IMHO....e liquid should not be in Tobacco Product as it contain no tobacco but as Pharmaceutical Product because all nicotine containing product such as nicotine patches and nicotine tablet (Nicorette) are sold in pharmacies shop. To be honest, for now lets just hope our local e-cig supplier can sell e liquid as long as the are registered company or sole proprietorship.

The main question is for how long will the government allowed us to sell eliquid without license? The major tobacco players will one day see us as a threat to their survivor. Soon they will start financing some individuals or groups as a proxies to ask the government to go against us. E-cig are also a threat to nicotine patches and nicotine tablet sold by the big pharmaceutical companies.

There were some cases now where e-liquid got seized by customs. Let's just hope that it's due to end of the year where they need to make up for losses.

Do you know the individuals that was messed up by the customs?
Please clarified your statement "Let's just hope that it's due to end of the year where they need to make up for losses." I can't really get it.

Yup. I know them. One of the famous seller here in malaysia. Well i dont really know how to explain to you. At the end of the year usually any company/organization will balance their account and whatnot. From there they can learn that their target for this year is not enough resulting to stricter customs...

Could anybody explain it to me in simple layman term?
Regarding the customs amok, did they raid his home or his office?
