Lifespan of cartomizers?

Hi there,

Ok I admittedly just switched cartomizer brand.. I used to get about 5-7 days off a Boge cartomizer but now only get about 3 days off this new brand. Is this normal or did I just get a dud batch?

I've used about 7ml in this new brand carto.

Please do advise.

The no name brands I get are only good for like 3-4 days before they start feeling like your sucking thru quicksand. Cleaning doesn't help me. If its an off brand you might be having the same problem.

I got some smoktech 1.5 dual cartos over a week ago, and I'm still on my first one. I use it in my eGo and my 510, and it's just now starting to fade a little. I have only topped it off now and then, but I still get a good vape out of it, haven't cleaned it yet but I may in the next day or two. Even if it doesn't clean well, I got my $2 worth, great TH and vapor for over a week, no complaints.

Can't really tell ya, they bought some cartos and put their brand name on them. I have had better luck using a tank on cartos. I hear people getting super life out of cartos, up to 20 days. I just have never seen it myself. I like the CE2's and CE3's myself. I also vape at 5 and 7.4 volt using 2.8 and 5 ohm cartos. I get the cheapest ones I can find so maybe I'm not the best person to ask lol.

I have messed around with cleaning them and have never seen a big improvement. As you said, toss it and move on I believe

Are you using a different juice? With dark juices, I'm lucky to get 3-4 days from a Boge carto. With lighter juices, I can stretch them twice as long. This is regardless of VG content, as I'm always around 20-25% VG for any juice.

hmmm the juice im using is slightly brownish tho... does that play a part? am using abt 30VG/70PG

I usually use 70/30 or 60/40 PG/VG. I always make sure the carto is wet. Also, if you take an unbent paperclip and gently push it through the screw end it seems to clear the center channel. I've had cartos that wouldn't fire and when I did this they were fine. Just do it carefully and gently.

What hardware are you using? Maybe you have the wrong ones for your voltage?

I'm using an eGo and I go weeks on a pair (switching back and forth for convenience).

Its more about the color of your juice(like mentioned) and how heavy you vape. I consider 4 days reasonable for one of mine because that is an average of 25ml of juice(resurrector in a tank=juice HOG).

I get a few days out of dual coils, but I suspect I'm a pretty heavy vaper. It really does depend on the juice. I'm lucky to get 2 days out of a carto filled with boba's bounty.

p.s. Hey Camino, where can I check out that red rocket? or did you build it yourself?

Sorry if my n00b is showing here but why color?

Some flavors have darker colors in them. Someone with more experience can tell you more, but I think the coloring may clog up a carto a bit. I have been using mine for over a week, and I have chocolate in it, really dark, so I may be wrong.

ZEN~ built it for me, Thing just rocks, he also made the Copperhead for me, one kick .... 7.4 volt. We do like trades for stuff, he likes some things I make and I love his mods. One person said it looked like a cattle prod lol

ahhh so about 7ml (slightly brown coloured) is pretty low aye? Getting a weird taste from them

I have had good luck with the Boge LR on a 3.7V Prodigy.
