An eGo type battery has two different threads to attach juice delivery systems. Here is an idea of what they look like and what fits on them.

Hi all,

I'm fairly new to e-cigs so please forgive the question if it's dumb. But is it possible/advisable to use a battery with a different brand's cartomizer? I had someone told me that as long as they fit together it'll be fine but I just want to know from the community if this is actually ok.

Give details, but yes. The cartomizers are not electronic in nature; they have only a heating coil;

but be carefull with CHARGERS. Use the right charger for the right battery.

You should be just fine as long as it fits! Like others said, they're are no dumb questions.

The only dumb question is the one you don't ask in the fear you may look stupid. Hey, stupid is my middle name! (actually it's James, but that's pretty lame anyway). Many batteries are designed to a particular standard so that anything with the matching fitting will work. From experience I have had 2 identical clearomizers but only one worked on my battery. Turns out that the central connector was slightly pushed in on the one that didn't work. Problem solved for me.
I agree with the being very careful to use the correct charger for the type of battery. Failure to do so may result in stuff getting hot/catching fire/exploding.
Good luck with the vaping.
