I notice a drop in vapor and then switch them out. When I first started I use to wait for them to blink but that was just running them too low. You have to get to know your vaping style and gauge from there. I do have a meter but do not really need it any more but it is great to have. If maintained properly the batts will get 300-500 charges of use. Check out this link for anything you need to know about batteries. Basic to Advanced Battery Information from Battery University

Thanks! That looks like a great link and I'm going to go read that now. As to getting to know when the batt drops in performance, I get that now. But I have only been vaping a month and thought the proper way was to use them until the LED flashed. Now after just 40 recharges my 65mm 808s are no good anymore and won't hold a charge beyond 15min or so.

I am rotating five (65mm). They all look alike, so yesterday I used color-coded stars to rank their performance. The oldest is three months. One is not as good as the rest, and the two newest are the best. I often switch out before the light flashes, too. After that experience, I started daydreaming about the X2. Are you aware that the light on the charger turns green before the light at the end turns off? I try to get a full charge, but at times the charging station can't keep up.

Does that happen to be the oldest one?

I have a Bloog and the Bloog USB/wall charger. Light on charger goes from red to blue when charge is complete, and the LED on the ecig goes out. I never checked if the LED and charger light go out at the same time. But Bloog customer svc indicated leaving the batts on the charger (for at least a short time after the charging is complete) should not harm them. But I err on the side of caution and remove them right away anyway.

I have 4 new 65mm arriving tomorrow, and I hope they are consistent in their performance. Of the two I have one performs better than the other and they are the exact same age and have been used exactly equal as I cycle between them.

IAC to avoid ruining my new batts or wearing them down I am getting a KR808 passthrough as I do most of my vaping at the computer anyway, so will plug that into a wall charger to be safe. This will take a big load off my 65mm's. :D

I have no way of knowing. The two newest are a bit different, the three older are completely identical.

I am thinking of doing that SI testimonial thing to earn the points for an X2.

My batteries seem to be performing poorly after use since June of 2012. It's now April 2013, and it's looking like I'll need to purchase another couple of batteries. Performance will dwindle from frequent use, but they (in my experience) aren't worth keeping past 8-9 months. I'll probably make that time span a regular interval to purchase new batteries. 300 charges as advertised? Possibly pushing it, but close enough. Charging once a day for 9 months is about 275 charges. I'll probably toss after 250 charges.
