I think I've seen a post about this before but am not sure what to type to search for it. I have a juice that is rather light in color, almost clear with a slight yellowish tint to it. I had some in my iclear30 and it eventually turned to a dark brown color. Now I am using that same juice in my iclear30s and notice that the bottom part of the tank is turning brown. It was low in fluid so I topped it off and the stuff on the bottom that has been in there longer (only since last night) is turning brown. I am just wondering what causes this and if it's normal? I am only running a 2.1ohm coil at 4.2v in the 30s. Thanks guys!

I just cleaned them both yesterday. The iclear30s has only had about 3/4 of a tank through it since I cleaned and dry burned it using a method I found on another forum. It's weird because I've never seen this happen before until this particular juice. It's fruity hoops from MBV,

When you say you cleaned them; did you replace the wicks or just rinse them? I use 100% VG and top wicks gave me problems like you described.

I rinsed them out really well. I just got the iclear30s on Tuesday so I didn't think it would be necessary to replace the coil already. I do have a 5 pack of coils for it. I guess it's not a big deal as long as it works fine and doesn't affect anything.

So I ended up cleaning everything really well and putting a fresh coil in the iclear30s and after a while it has started to turn dark again. Not quite as dark as it was, but still darker. Also I discovered that if I fill the 30s past 2.5ml it starts gurgling and leaking pretty bad through the 510 connection. Just out of curiosity what voltage are you guys with 2.1ohm coils running?

It's the juice you're using + the natural action of clearos. It's going to happen no matter what type of wicking device you're using, regardless of voltage. You could switch to other types of clearos ad nauseum and it would only continue to happen. The heat from the coils is, for a lack of a better word, caramelizing your juice. If you use clearos, there's nothing you can do to stop it.
