I can't stand the thought of a flashgun getting butchered, it's times like these you wish people would move out of their parents basement and get a life. I have a heiland flashgun that I use for what it was intended for. I'm not sure if you all know how big these things are, but they are 8 inches long and 1-1/2 inches wide, and can hold 2 D cell batteries. Add to that all the butchering that has been done to it and you will truly have something massive that will make a silver bullet look like a baby.
I think you would look a bit goofy carrying something that big around. However like posted above, the mini may work or dare someone mod a sliver bullet to look like a saber.
Ya, I could see how a camera buff would wince at the thought of cutting up the heiland or graflex flash guns, but that's what they used in the movies. If someone wanted a truly authentic replica, that's what they would shoot for.
Anyway, I've never done mods myself, but i love to build and tinker with electronics. I'll see if I can get me hands on a couple of these lightsabers and throw a couple together. The only thing i need is attachments. Anyone have any to spare for experimentation? I can only verify the 510 as it's the only PV I have, but i can sure build a 901 (or any other one) and send it off to you guys for testing! Let me know!
I have 510 attys and will soon have 901's. I would gladly test these out for you, and if they work great, I'd even send the money to cover costs and possibly a tip.
I am a HUGE Star Wars nerd, so having one or 2 of these would be awesome! Although my girlfriend would just have another excuse to call me a geek...LOL!
well i have had the thought for a while now too mod a lightsaber into an e-cig.
I found this site today, and i bet there are others about custom ones. It seems too me at least that they are similar to the e-cig mods.
i'm not 100% sure, but i think this might be a cool place to order from. They will even do custom work if you ask.
Awesome. I'll be getting some dead 510 batteries hopefully this week, then I'll put in an order for a few lightsabers. If you happen to have any dead 901 batteries, that would help. If it all works out, I'll just order some from the guy here on the forums. I'll keep you posted!
Are you gonna try the full sized lightsabers or the small ones?

Kinda small though![]()
Actually it's looks like the perfect size for a 14500 battery and stainless 510 attys.
well I am not sure about all the pics and gadgets people are posting on this thread but the OPs link has a ton of parts that CAN be used to make a custom PV and with the right model li-ion batts as wellI hope nobody is going to waste their money thinking they can mod these. Didn't anyone else read what batteries these things use? They use 3 AG5 batteries that are 7.5mm wide. The smallest Li-ion rechargeable battery I have seen that can be commercially purchased is the 10xxx series which are 10mm wide. I don't think you would be able to sand out 2.5-3 mm to make a battery fit.

it would be great to get parts for a custom job and not mod something that is already in existance ..... just look through the site you should see what I mean.... I know the mono jack is the right size for an 801 atty and if you read other mod posts you can learn how to make the connector work.... everything else is just a custom battery holder job..
You may be right...there has to be a large number of vapers, who are also Star wars Nerds hehe.

I was going to post a pic of me at DragonCON in 2006 (dressed as a Twi'lek Jedi) to demonstrate the depth of my devotion
