So to start, let me say I've been vaping since 2009. For reasons unknown, maybe intimidation... who knows... but I had avoided the whole rda thing. Well, long story short, 2 weeks ago I finally visited a vape shop and got a few to try (Igo-W, Stillare 26650) and a cheap hades clone. I rebuilt the rda's just fine (.3 ohm) and was loving how heavy of a vape I was finally able to get, without using tons of liquid menthol. I just wasn't that fond of the button on the clone, having to hit it perfectly and what not, and how it would too easily unscrew when I twisted the lock ring.
So I took the trip to a different vape shop, and all they sold were authentics. One immediately caught my eye, the Wild Wolf. I threw my mnke battery in, took the Stillare off the Hades and let her rip. Immediately my mind went WOW. The whole experience was different. The button, just perfect, and smooth, and consistent. The atomizer was suddenly stronger, and I knew it must've been because of higher quality contacts. I mean it felt like 50% stronger. I knew right then that these things are in fact more than just battery tubes. That voltage drop or whatever does in fact matter. Because I'm tellin ya, it just simply hit far better.
The whole thing just feels quality. The button is in fact spring driven, but the spring is high quality and just feels perfect. The lock ring is smooth and easy to turn without turning the base, and the spring is just stiff enough so that if you stand her on end she won't fire.
At the top where you screw your atomizer on, it is actually a copper collar. This can be removed to expose an Ego thread! Not sure if many would use it, cause after all, we probably got the mech to fire our ridiculously low ohm RDA's, but it is there.
I believe the contacts are all copper with one review online talking about 24k gold plating somewhere (the spring?). But regardless, this thing just is great all around. It screams quality and is beautiful to boot, with its etching, brushed stainless and color scheme. Just realized I didn't take a picture of it, but the bottom of the button also has pentagram like star on it. Just a beautiful mech.
Anyway, to sum up, I recommend this mech to anybody looking for a 26650. It won't break the bank (I forget, maybe 70?) but feels higher quality than it costs. It's limited edition, only 2000 made, so if you want one just go for it. It's a great little mech and you won't be disappointed.
