So, I ordered a copper praxis clone by Limwell, and it finally showed up! I was so excited to use it, I threw in a battery and threaded on my Atlantis (my driving atty) and all I got was a really hot mod and battery, no vapor. So, I quickly took it out and the battery was freaking hot. So, I threw in a new battery and threaded on my Dark Horse. Looks so sick, and it's so small! Part of the reason I bought it since I have the copper AFC Dark Horse clone. Anyway, works great, but seems to be lacking in some power after a few hits. So, I switched out batteries to a different one than the previous 2, and threaded on my Plume. Same thing as my Atlantis. Now, my Plume has a .4-.5 ohm build (been a while since I checked, but 6 wrap 28g micro) and the Atlantis is about a .5 like everyone knows, but my DH had a .1 ohm build in it, that I took out and put a .5-.6 ohm build in. So, obviously it's not the resistance that is causing an issue, and I know my DH has a slightly longer post than my Atlantis or Plume, which could be the only thing I could think of. Is there something I'm missing, or do I just have a bad mod? For reference, I have a Caravela clone by EHpro that works great with all these attys, but wanted something smaller, hence the praxis.

few things have to happen with hybrid mods. first the atty has to have positive 510 pin coming out around 1mm or more from the negative pin. also when you attach the hybrid cap on atty, the whole 510 should be way pass the bottom of the hybrid cap thing. if positive 510 is short or recessed, it will cause short. if the 510 pin of the atty is not pass the bottom of the hybrid cap, it will short, if there is no insulation on the bottom of the cap. and if the 510 pin on the atty is way too long, the limited length of the mod might not allow the atty to sit flush.

but if you find the right combo, hybrids are great. love my 4nine. and waiting on 1:1 praxis right now..
