I checked a few pages and hadn't seen this addressed recently but when linking to a particular post in a forum - it works for some and not for others. I recently sent a post link to a member and they were taken to the last post in the thread.
I know that if a person has changed their default on the number of posts on a page to something different - say 20 instead of 10 - then when linking a page number it will be off, but before, when linking a particular post # that it would take them to the post. IOW, regardless of the setting of number of posts on a page, the post number should be the same even though the page number isn't.
So...
is it possible for someone with a different default on 'posts per pages', to link to a specific post??

to admin: try the link and then change your settings to 20 post per page and then try it.
