Hi skrjj and welcome....

By the sound`s of thing`s you wil be only using perhaps one cartridge a day and this won`t be a problem they don`t evaporate or anything like that when opened at least not in one day, So you should be fine! And as Calumet King said each cartridge comes individually sealed so no need to worry on that side!

Now, I smoke around 4 analogs a day. I'll probably get an e-cig, but I have one concern: Will I have to worry about the liquid evaporating from my cartridges? If so, what should I do to prevent this? The only reason I worry about this is my relatively low rate of smoking.

Because you don't smoke very much, it sounds like you are a perfect candidate to use the drip method in lieu of cartridges. A drop or two of e-liquid placed on the atomizer is roughly the equivalent of one analog cigarette. Buying e-liquid is WAY cheaper and WAY better than buying pre-filled carts anyway.

And, you could buy e-liquid sampler packs from some of our suppliers. In your case, a sampler bottle (2-3mls) would last a long long time.

Good luck.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Most carts that are pre-filled come sealed, and any blank carts, if you want to fill yourself (more choice of flavors, cheaper), come with an end cap to 'seal' the liquid in (except the VX2/J118 - no caps on blanks).

Depending on the model, you won't be using more than 1 or 2 carts per day, and a cart left on an e-cig (just keep it out of direct sunlight/direct heat if possible) will be fine for at least a couple of days, during which time you'll notice a lower amount of vapor and throat hit, letting you know it's time to refill or replace with a new/fresh cart.
