Every time I remove my BCC tank to charge my battery or to refill, I see a few drops of liquid where the battery meets the atomizer. Is this normal?

I always clean the tube connecting the mouth piece to the tank by passing a twisted paper towel through it and then use a fresh and dry EVOD atomizer every time I refill.

Also, how do i add a signature with my set up, so I don't have to say what I am using.

Thanks.

1. Not surprising with the residue on the battery. You've got it right - just wipe it up with a paper towel before charging and you're fine.

2. Go to the top of the page and click on 'Settings.' From there you'll be able to edit your signature.

Vape on...

It is weird that this is normal, I would've thought that this would damage the battery.

Not on a sealed cap like on most Ego style connections. Now if it was an automatic, one that activates by air passing through the battery, called an unsealed connection you would have a problem. Still, just clean up the battery connector with a paper towel, napkin, or q-tip. Evods, T3's, and Protanks suffer this problem with stock heads without a modification or re-coil/re-wicking it due to the design of an air hole at the bottom instead of the side of the post, top coil designs don't suffer this issue, mainly bottom coils. Part of the liquid if from condensation, coil at the bottom near the battery connector heats up the air inside the connection cup, when it cools it condenses the moisture in the air trapped underneath. Other part of this liquid can come from the liquid in the wick seeping down into the cup. I've run T3's/Evods/Protanks and have had this issue with stock heads with no adverse effects, just clean it up nothing more you can do unless you get into modifying or rebuilding the heads.

Glad to know it's just an annoyance and doesn't harm the battery.

Yes - the battery is "sealed" - unless it's an "automatic" with no fire button - those can be unsealed...
The drop or two is pretty normal. you can minimize it by ensuring that
a) You're using a good unit - EVOD's seem to leak less than ViviNova's, etc - at least for me...
b) The clearo or tank setup has everything inside nicely tightened. If the "head" is loose inside, it'll let some juice leak through...

Not sure which vivi nova you used Ive had issues with some but the vision vivi nova minis not the big ones have had no leaks not even a drop on my battery contact the past 3 months I've been vaping. Besides one head I knew wasn't sealed properly but decided to see how it played out and wasn't good lol. I figured what can a little vapor in the tank cause not thinking of the seal issue then left it on its side like I always do and the tank didn't have much left after. If a top coil gets vapor in the tank change the head cause that one is no good.

Other brands besides vision aren't good even the big vision vivi nova has to get a fix but the minis are the most reliable I have found in a clearo for not leaking.

I have a couple of vision spinners which I use with evod and T3 bcc's. I used to get some liquid on the battery contact, but don't any more. I find that if I don't tighten the bcc to the battery too tight I don't get any juice on the contact. When I connect the bcc I stop when I feel some resistance. That's what works for me - don't screw the bcc on too tight.

This is why I prefer vision vivi nova minis to avoid having to clean the contact. Although I have to admit I love my protank besides that cleaning issue, but that's for at home and the vivi nova minis are for when I'm out and don't want to have to worry about leaks and such.

It's a trade-off I guess...Better wicking with BC vs No cleaning with TC.

I'll try it and let everyone know if I have similar results.

in another thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tank-issues/410140-kanger-evod-leaking-mouth-piece.html we are talking about the evods leaking through the mouthpiece, and it seems to be related to the rubber cap on the coil. I could see the leak starting there and juice making its way from the mouthpiece back down to the battery via the air channel. I've never seen it with my evods, but since I haven't resolved the mouthpiece leak issue, I am SUPER diligent about not laying my evods over, upside-down, etc..
Another user has come up with a solution and we are waiting on him to post a photo of how he fixed it - watch that thread.

The option to clean BC is what makes them so appealing, don't ya think? When my sweeter juices start caramelizing, I appreciate the ability to clean them in order to remove that apocalyptic burnt fryer grease taste

Thanks for pointing me to the thread. I noticed that there was 1-2 mm gap between the top of the silicon cap on the atomizer and the tube connected to the mouth piece. So I added another cap facing the opposite direction to that of the existing cap. This bridges the gap and I haven't noticed any leakage from the mouth piece.

Hope the attachment makes it clearer.

Make sure your coil head is tight, and tank base is tight on the tank....then when you screw it onto the battery make sure you dont tighten it up...just spin it on till you feel it touch and thats tight enough...any tighter will wreck your battery and unseat the o-ring in the tank(making it leak onto the battery)...another culprate could be drawing too hard on the mouth piece...of course BCC's also accumulate gunk at the bottom over time, but thats easily shaken out once you hear the gurgling
