Hi everyone!

So I bought this liquid, The Alice by vaping Rabbit (100VG, 3mg), about 2 weeks ago. It tasted great in the shop, but when I took it out of the bottle to vape, it didn't taste as well. So I let the liquid steep for a couple days and found that the flavor got a bit better. But the problem is that after vaping about 1 ml of my brand new 3.5ml aspire vivi nova tank, I started noticing the liquid started turning darker. I didn't mind it too much at first, but as I got to the last ml of my tank, the liquid was so dark that I could barely see through a thin layer of it.

At first I thought this was normal because of backwash from the coils/wicks, but as I finished the bottle, I noticed a decline in vapor, flavor, and a harsh burnt hit in my throat. I didn't think this much darkening and decline in vape quality was possible from 1 brand new aspire bdc tank as none of my other liquids have done this (and they are 100% VG as well).

I was so curious about the situation, I opened the bdc head I was vaping from and found that they were covered in thick, shiny, crisp looking gunk.

Does anyone have any ideas of whats going on?

I was using a brand new Aspire 1.9ohm vivi nova tank with a new MVP 2 device on about 7-8 watts

Here's another link I found on the liquid from this forum: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...g-rabbit-great-ejuice-wax-sealed-bottles.html

P.S. the bottle says that they make their "taste through a steam distillation process", if that even means anything for the darkening/thickening

Yeah, you found yourself a coil gunking juice. Some juice flavors tend to gunk and caramelize on the coil faster than others, typically darker ones, and those with high sugar content. Bobas Bounty I a notorious col gunker, coffee flavors too. You can try turning the watts/volts down a tad to see if that will lessen the gunk build up process. The darkening of the juice is the caramelized coils coloring it. You can try dry burning and cleaning more regularly in hopes to extend the life of the wick. On my rba's it's easier to do, just yank the wick, dry burn the coil, re-wick, and it's all good to go.

Don't have that much experience with the Nautilus, but have heard you can rebuild the heads.
