I feel like I am in and endless search for that perfect liquid. After testing many different at different levels of PG to VG, I have found that PG gives me a nasty headache. Also the liquids I was quite fond of 2 weeks ago aren't that tastey now or taste very different. Either the vendor made them different this time or my taste buds changed.

Some of the 100 VG that I have ordered are as thick as molases and I now know what the burnt taste is. I have tried to thin using distilled water, but my chemical engineering background from that first day I stepped onto UC's campus must no longer be there. The cute girl from lab class is (I married her many years later). :)

Anyway.. I found a vendor that does 70% VG and 30% distilled water. Has anyone ever tried getting something like this from a vendor? If so how was it. Everytime I try it myself I end up dumping it.

Thanks in advance to all.

I can only comment on the first part.

Headache might also be because of nic level. PG is bit nasty and thats what gives TH. And after you quit smoking there are changes to taste buds reported by a lot of them. So, initially it is very likely to taste different. It happens to me too. I like a specific flavor whole day, but at night I dont.

The usual side effects of pg sensitivity is a rash. The headaches are usually from too much nic or dehydration.

Both vg and pg will dehydrate you, however pg will do it faster.

Your taste buds do change when you quit smoking and that normally hits after a week or two. The best way to overcome it is to rinse with mouthwash, stay hydrated and change up Flavors often.

Vg will mute throat hit and flavor so make sure you get extra flavor added.

Pg does not give throat hit. The throat hit comes from the nicotine. Pg is harsher and thus dries you out faster, but it's not throat hit.

I tried some of jugheads' xtreme vg juices & they are 95% vg but thinner than most of my pg juices because of the distilled h2o added. Unfortunately Customs is not letting their orders across the Canadian border lately. It's by far the tastiest juice I've tried & sounds like what you're after. There's no throat hit but exhalation is tasty & the vapor immense.

Thanks all.

I am currently using 6 mg nic. Prior I had some 8 mg nic. My end goal is to get off the nic as well.

Maybe I am vaping too much? I usually have the 30 minute drive into work. 30 min home. Then after dinner I sit outside and read for an hour or 2 vaping. Maybe I need some 0 nic liquid?

Stopped smoking 6/15. Took about 2 months for my taste buds to come back. Not sure if that is a good thing or bad thing, atm.

TH isn't a biggie to me. I have never experienced while vaping. If I have, I hadn't noticed it. I only know about from what I have read.

I hate when I make myself my own guinea pig.

Anyone with experience ordering 70%vg with 30% distilled water from a vendor?

Thanks again.

I'm no expert but adding more than a tiny drop or 2 of water makes my juices way too watery to vape. 30% water seems unlikely to work.

Yeah what I have experienced too.

Why I was hoping someone has tested it before. I have ruined many this way. They all become "bug away" around my foundation.

I've given up on trying to find that illusive single go-to flavor, because like food, who wants to keep having the same thing all the time? I live alone, and I really have to watch what I cook (has to be freezable), because if I don't, I would be eating the same thing all week long, and I'd be gagging on it by Friday...who wants that?:laugh: I think both your taste buds and your taste preferences change over time.

And I agree on the headaches. Could be too little nic (which also produces a headache), or dehydration. Maybe jump back up to 8mg, or grit your teeth and bear it until you get used to the lower nic - maybe a couple of weeks (haha, that's what I did. I can go down to 4 now, from 12). But since you've tried different ratios and VG is working for you, then maybe try to find tiny sampler sizes (like 3ml) from different vendors, like the one you found and the one CatLady suggested.

Thanks all.

Cat I checked out vv. I didn't see any tobacco flavors which I tend to favor. I have tried bakery and such and they didn't appeal to me. Who knows maybe they do now.

Cindy I kinda know what you mean. Although I can eat the same thing every day. Yes I have been ordering the samples then a big bottle of what i like. Go figure they never taste the same. Strange. Think I will grin and bear it. After all, my goal is to get off nic as well. I thought it may be too little. No matter the vaping time I get a headache before bed. Maybe it isnt vapping related.

Jj. Thanks man. They have some flavors that I may like. Gonna try some samples. I just have to deal with the wifes little looks about money. No matter how much money you have it always plays a part.

Again. Thanks all

Haha, whenever I think of nicotine receptors in my brain, I picture alley cats that got fed once, came back and brought all their friends. Then they're all up in there rioting and scratching at my brain parts, going "gimme, gimme, gimme." That could cause a major headache, right?

I think it's a cumulative thing with the nic too, so it doesn't matter how late you vape. But if you really wanna lower your nic, just hang in there with the 6. The withdrawals don't really last all that long. Maybe a couple of weeks.
