I'm looking to invest in a better quality tank and the Liquinator is the one that caught my eye.

Yes, I've read through so much about the Liquinator on ECF that I'm going crosseyed!

Just a couple of quick questions if you please?

First, I was reading about a problem with the o rings and the tanks not grabbing well enough, it is true that they fixed that problem with better o rings?

Next, can I used flanged cartos with that tank? It's what I use from smoktek in their Smoktanks.

Next, do most people use the 3ml tank or the 5ml tank? I'm used to using a 3.5ml Smoktank so I'm thinking to go with the 3ml might be defeating the purpose, not sure if the 5ml would be too big?

Next, Smoktech carts really are turning out to be useless lately. This last batch, even with two hours, just aren't giving me the flavor from my juices. It's like sucking on air and it's starting to make me sick. The ones in my tanks now, I've started taking them out and punching my own hole in them, but still, not a lot of juice in going in. No bubbles when I inhale. I end up sucking in without pressing the button just to get more juice in. And the crisp crackle just isn't there any more, it just snaps and pops, then I end up sucking air.

I'm using Ego Twists both 650 and 1000

What are your recommendations for better cartos? I know I just ordered more Smoktech cartos, but if they are crap, too, I need to try something else. I know Grimm likes carts from Ikenvape, but those are confusing there. And I've read the Boge just aren't working as good as they used to.

What's the latest greatest? =]

Thanks for all your help and suggestions! Several wonderful fine folks here helped me through just learning how to use tanks!

Rather than using tanks , why not try a Phoenix bottom coil from Gotvapes , or even one of their stardusts ? They both work really well on a Twist , where the DCT's are dual coil , and will drain your batteries much quicker than a single coil device . At least that's what I use . Or you could try one of the new mini Vivi's , also at Gotvapes . There may be other vendors that sell these , I just happen to know that Gotvapes has them .

Are you properly prepping your cartos with juice before assembling your tanks? I prefill my cartos, with a tooth pic in the airhole, until they look like a slushy, before assembling my tanks.

I've recently switched from Smoktech's dual coil cartos to their single coil versions and like them much better. I got mine directly from Smoktech here:

Single Coil XL Tank Cartomizer for the SmokTank XL

They come already with one or two drilled holes, you choose. Available in 1.7, 2.0, and 3 oHm resistance. $2 each.

Dual coils drain your batteries faster than single coils. I've heard that dual coils don't really kick in unless they get 4.8v power.

I got a pack of single and double holes. Thinner juices get the single, thicker get 2 holes. The tiny holes wick fine as long as you choose the correct number of holes for your individual juice viscosity. Only exception would be 100% vg juices, like Boba's Bounty.

I'm also a fan of clearomizers and CE3's. No polyfill to possibly alter your juice flavors. These also have problems wicking the really thick juices, tho.

I really recommend getting a tank filler tool. They protect your o-rings and make filling a carto tank a breeze. Big Daddy Vapes makes the best one in my opinion. Great, almost indispenable tool.

The liquidnator is by far the best tank besides the little mamma, these are the only two i would recommend, in 3 ml i would go with cause if u wanna change juices u just have that much more to go till its empty.
Cartos i would go with a lr boge and buy a punch from clouds of vapor i think it is around 12$$ and u will b set.
I tried almost all of the tanks out there but the little mamma and the liquidnator are the smoothest and most satisfying of them shawn...

The Phoenix certainly looks interesting, I've never seen that before. As far as Clearos goes, I've never had any luck wih them. I've doing what I was supposed to, but they always tasted burnt to me. Just gave up on them. I may try them again some day.

Thanks for the suggestion!

I'm properly prepping them, sometimes I fill them before putting them in the tank and sometimes I put a few drops in the top, put it in the tank, then just suck the juice up in to it.

I haven't tried the single coil cartomizers yet. But I get my dual coil from Smoktek as well. I use the 1.5, two hole. If you read on the page for them, it says they work best at 3.7 and I find that to be true. Maybe I'm just letting them go too long without putting new ones in. I know some people can go a week and some only a couple of days.

I've seen that filler tool there, too, at bigdaddy.com. Didn't want to just order that one little thing from them and have the shipping cost more than the item! =] I've seen it on at least one other site as well.

I do good though at not getting the juice down the center hole, I just tilt the carto to one side and that works well. If I do get juice in the center hole, I just either blow it out or shake it out a little.

Clearos, never had any luck with them. Juice always tastes burnt. I also never took the time to figure them out much either.

Took a while for me to figure out the tanks! =]

But I may try the single coils. I'm not so much worried about battery life as I have four twists to trade off on. I just want to get my flavor back.

I did notice when using my peppermint, that it does tend to clog up the filler quicker, so I have to change the carto more often. I'm still kind of new at this tank thing so I'm thinking I can just keep refilling the thing ten times ore more. Not ture! And I need to keep a bigger supply of cartos on hand, too, for this reason.

Thanks for you advice and suggestions!

Actually, I went with the 5ml tank because it's the same height as my Smoktank tubes and I can use the same size cartos in both. I can always get a 3ml tube by itself if it's too big.

I looked at the Little Momma tank, too. Actually almost bought a VPX Cartomator mostly because I loved the purple reign color. But I saw someone on ECF had a Liquinator tank and used a Cartomator colored tank with it.

I've heard good and bad things about Boge cartos. I might have been reading from last year on here, but it appeared that they weren't working as good as they used to. Are the ones from Clouds of Vapor working good?

Thanks for your help and suggestions!

I just received my beautiful 5m SS Liquinator tank. The only cartos I have are Smoketech's flanged bottom cartos. Since the Liquinator end caps don't have that recessed end cap that the Smoktank has, am I to assume that I should used them with the Liquinator? It would seem like it would scratch it if I did.

Or does the Liquinator use plain cartos that aren't flanged on the bottom?

Gosh dernit if I can't use it till I order new cartos! Not fair - not fair!

Some would say that they're not so good lately. There are Smoketech and Kanger available among others that are well used.

The 3 ml liquinator has been my favorite of all the tanks I have used. The only carto I use in them is the Ikenvape Fusion(best carto made). I have to use an adapter, but I would have to no matter what carto I use because I use a GLV.

Yup, that's what I'm doing now, looking into the Fusions. I've heard good things about those cartos. I'm thinking of using a stealth adapter with it on my Ego Twist.

I'm wondering if the 5ml Liquinator is going to be too big for me now and if I shouldn't get the 3ml. Do you know if the tubes are interchangable?

    Thanks for your recommendation!
