I found this handy Instructables Free Electronic Samples that has a bunch of different suppliers, many of which offer free samples. Obviously I haven't tried them all but TI and AVX I have tried and got samples from both.

I also found PetroExtrusion.com - The Plastic Extrusion Specialists, I got a free 1ft sample of 5/8 ID polycarb for MAP tank replacements. PC-04 is the part # for the MAP tank size tubing.

I have 100uf 10v tantalum cap samples coming from AVX, the part # for those is
TAP 107 K 010 SCS

Edit: I just got confirmation from http://www.okw.co.uk/ that I have 2 free enclosure samples coming. These guy's have some really nice enclosures.

If anyone knows of any other places that aren't mentioned in the instructables please share, and as always, please don't abuse the free sample system or it won't be around for long. The Instructable was put out in 09 and a few of the suppliers have already stopped offering samples and a few have started charging for shipping.

Thanks for this! Could anyone help me locate a 100M resistor as a free sample? Reading through books worth of data pages actually starts to hurt my eyes after a while.

They are available all over but I never know which one to choose because they usually require you to kind of peice together the part number.

This is what I need it for: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-mods/181976-1-aa-touch-modbox.html Asnider says that a 100M resistor would be better than the 10M it shows in the diagram.

Thanks again S.S. Great links dude

NP man, glad I could help. I know you certainly have been a huge help to me with your juice calc & your tutorials.

I saw this Procter & Gamble link over on reddit a few days ago for free samples of VG. I didn't sign up for it because it requires a business address to send it to, but something to consider.

I have tried them as have many other DIY'ers. Some received free samples, others (myself included) did not. But thanks for the reminder, definitely can't hurt to try.
