If you absolutely *must* clean, after blowing out excess juice does not work, I recommend using vodka. A quick soak/blowout is usually all you need. Everyone has their "method", but I have found this to be the most effective. No sediment left over, just a clean atomizer. Not to mention, you can usually start using it right away as opposed to having to let it sit overnight.

Thanks!

For gummed up attys, I soak them overnight in white vinegar. You will not believe your eyes as to how much gunk comes out into the vinegar!!! The next morning I rinse them under hot tap water, blow them out and drip 4-5 drops of eliquid on them. Put some caps on them (old carto condoms) to keep them wet.

They typically need a little push from my 5V passthru to get started, but once they do they are like new!

Btw, no vinegar taste at all...

Why you considering Listerine ? CrestPro is used for cleaning, has completely different ingredients from listerine. However, CrestPro is reported to clean the mesh, not the gunkedup coil. It means, it can save you an atty which is not wicking due to old juice blocking the mesh, but does nothing to atty which has buildup on the coil - means low vapor production, less TH and so on...
Cleaning the coil comes always first, can´t imagine atty which have clean coil but mesh and airways is gunked... give a quick dryburn to the coil, its all it needs. My attys, they go through several dryburns during their lifespan, and rarely they took a bath of CrestProHealth. Mybe after 3 months of daily use
