My husband was looking at my box mod and he said why dont they use the lithium polimer ion batteries they are so much smaller. He uses them for his RC airplanes. He has no clue about ecigs he just used them for like 3 days while he totally quit and I have no clue about mods either but maybe one of you do.

Tell your husband that they will work (I have used 3.7 and 7.4 "electrifly" on my mods. !!!!!! Make sure that they have built in protection. I had a chopper go down in flames once from a bad pack.
A mod that I use when I want to use protected and non-protected batteries is to install an external protection circuit:

Using these you can use any Li-ion battery and know you are safe.
I dont know much about batteries but I think those are Lithium Phophorus or something like that the ones I am talking about are different

They are very much the same inside... the big difference is that that the "polymer" type are almost always a square flat pack.
We use them in helicopters because they are flat and wide...not round like a regular battery. and most if the time they are just rapped in a plastic cover....importent when you have to "fly" your voltage source. Any weight savings is a good thing.
