I usually vape at 80-100W, but recently I have decieded to get a 0.5OHM coil for my Atlantis 2 and put it down to 30W in order to save liquid.

But I seem to get little flavor compared to when I was vaping at 80W?

Is this normal? I am not new to vaping I just haven't ever tried a lower wattage before and have noticed a big difference in flavour, I don't care about the clouds really and I feel that 30W is producing enough, I am just not getting the flavour?

Is it the tank? Should I build a 0.5ohm coil on my RDA (Would that give me more flavour?)

I really hope you guys can help me!

Depends on the tank and the juice. Max I go on my atlantis 2 is 60w. In the atlantis, there is definitely a difference in perceived flavor if I try to vape it at 30w.

However, in my subtank mini, the flavor is prime at 30w, and the flavor is way bigger than any of my other tanks or drippers.

That being said, with Mod X, tank X, you are sucking in way more juice at 80w than at 30w, so you are going to notice a difference in perceivable flavor.

Welcome to the forums Drew!

I have got a TFV4 and some RDA'S and also my Atlantis 2.

I primarily use the TFV4 and my RDA'S, but all of them use a massive amount of liquid.

I have never tried the Subtank Mini (But have heard good things about it).

Does it have a better flavor at 30W than an RDA in your opinion?

I hammer my ecig all day so if I was using 60W I would go through 30ML of liquid in a few days (Which costs a lot of money), I am aiming to make a full tank last a day. (Which is about 3-5ML, instead of 30.)

Do you think that the subtank has a better flavour than the Atlantis 2 at 30W?

Just as nicotine milligram strength and wattage go together,
in the same way flavour and wattage go together.

try other flavors at 30 watts instead.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I've got quite a few tanks and RDA's. Atlantis, Atlantis 2, Triton, Kayfun, Subtank Mini -- Derringer, TOBH Atty, and Velocity.

Out of all of them, the subtank mini is my favorite for flavor. Cloud production isn't the hugest, but the vapor seems to be the densest.

I am all about the flavor, and if I had to choose one tank to vape on all day, it would be the subtank. And the responsiveness is much better as well (when using premade coils). I build on it sometimes, but for the most part use coils for that tank.

What makes it so special in your opinion to give it better flavor than all the other tanks? Does it have a better airflow or something?

I am going to try my flavor on an RDA at 30W and see what happens (Once I build a 0.5OHM coil)

Man, I'm not sure exactly what makes it special. It has a shorter shaft compared to my other tanks. Shorter shaft stands to reason better flavor.

Fully open, it's just the right amount of airflow. At least for me, it is. Enough airflow to get a good, dense cloud. But not so much that it kills the flavor.

All of that, combined with an excellent coil design. The rta attachment is a great design too. The flavor suffers a hair, over the standard .5ohm coil, but not by much.

Also I should note that the overall cape experience is much smoother to me and more responsive.

For one the coils are all different producing different levels of flavor not to mention edyle is right not all flavor profiles like the same watts, up or down will result in different intensity.
If your main concern is to use less juice you would need to use a higher ohm coil were you could keep the wattage lower, will it produce the "best" flavor ? probably not ...........
